Recently I had the opportunity to test drive the 2016 Peugeot 208 GTI (208HP) Facelift on some beautiful winding roads. This cool little hot hatch is powered by a 1.6 liter turbocharged thp engine that produces 208 horsepower and 300nm of torque!

did you consider going for the 208 GTI by Peugeot sports instead?

@@valteroliveira1523 all 208 gti made after may 2015 have the same upgraded engine so those are best to buy as they are much punchier. I think 'by Peugeot sports' is the same just some kind of limited editions, maybe just more spec options etc.

@@tadassmolskas3014 by peugeot sport version is alot different than normaln gti version... It has is wider 16mm front 10mm rear, it has stiffer antirollbars and 10mm lower and harsher suspension, it has better seats, a lot better brakes, and of course limited slip differentional, engine is the same as facelift 208gti but still on race track is about 3-4seconds faster then normal gti... So it is not the same car😅

Hey Luca ! yep I got her and she's a beast for our road its awesome ... on monday she will be reprogramated from 200 to 235ch and Nm will be improve aswell ;) I'm already in love with her and everytime I drive I'm so excited ... tell me when you got it Luca see you soon ^^

i think that the 208 GTi is "only" 200HP and 270nm, you are describing the 208 GTI 30th or the by Peugeot Sport

This is a phase 2, the phase 1 was 200HP/270Nm.

I'd probably buy this car on non GTI version on 2 years! my dad has a 206 and I love this little peugeot hatches! and It's awesome for making 208HP from a 1.6L I4😍I like it!!

I have non gti 1.4 68 hp version, it is so light, small and easy, fun to drive :) Getting GTI version next week i think it's a great car for crowded cities with narrow driving spaces like in my city. Hope you like it when you get it.

For my position and setup it is almost exactly like in the video: You can see all instruments and the whole trip computer, only three buttons (which aren't important while driving) in the instrument cluster are covered by the steering wheel.

i really do think the gti by PS is better in every way but the standard gti I'm not so sure but thanks for your input I'm gonna test the 308 gti 270 soon.

why would you turn off traction controll you know it is bad for acceleration do you ? :D esp from 0- 100

Maros Kozej it's not bad for acceleration it's bad for tire wear and powering out of corners..... TCS kills of power to stop the tyres from sliding but it also slows down acceleration.

I tinted all of my glasses darker, it looks awesome, hence the body color is black. I believe it looks nice on a white body, too.

ST200 is far more expensive then 208 GTI standard ST shouldn't be compared with 208 GTI

Patrick Khanyile it should still be compared it's a direct competitor.... I prefer the 208gti over the fiesta ST but it's the same class of car...don't look at the 180hp and decide it's rubbish because for £600 extra you can get the mountune kit that ups it to 200hp whilst not voiding the warranty.

I test drove this car when it first came out I chose the Fiesta ST instead far superior. I liked this car until I drove it... it's fast but there's not much fun and the gear ratios are far too close together!!

I agree , this car lacks soul and feel, it feels very generic and boring when driven normally/pretty fast and unpredictable when driven really hard. Very mediocre car. The Fiesta ST on the other hand is world apart from this one. It’s brilliant.

Jamal Mahroof actually no , the thing about this car is the exhaust sounds better from the outside than the interior engine sound.... no fakery involved.
