Great clip! So true. VW sold 30 million passat's. Their second best selling model after the golf. Maybe the rest of the world knows something south africans have not realised yet? It is a MASSIVELY underrated vehicle. The EU version compares to the A6, and wins. Take one for a test drive and see for yourself.
You Aussies get the better Passat for sure. I have the Americanized '16 Passat R-Line. Here is a base model with some sporty add-ons and the 1.8T. No manual or 2.0T options. But I like mine. Same problem here also. Not many buy the Passat. That's sad.
Is this the South African version? I want to buy a car man but looking for a VW sedan, I can't go with the Arteon, too expensive for me. While this over here mate, been checking it out till beginning of 2018. I need one and this video convinced me, I was never wrong
You could add more detail about NVH ride comfort and performance and please floor the car at least once. I've had Passats before and enjoyed them. The emissions scandal has affected brand loyalty and reliability - eg: DSG gearbox has not helped. The 'affordable' model with a 1.4 l 110 kW motor is not exactly tempting.
