None of the NA teams want to win. they should just reset rank and whip all the team, and get people who actually want to make their country proud, like the other nation.
The level of LCK is too much higher than other region. Look at the SKT's semi and final games. Too intense and complex. Imagine that they play these kind of game all their splits. NA EU LPL can't adapt
LMAO! None of the NA teams want to win? Mate, I'm pretty sure everybody would want to win a championship of a game they love so don't make up bs to try to defend ur puny americans
Bastiaan van der Hoeven i never thought ssg or rox is better than skt at any time. you have faker ahead in every single game. so was duke. they have always been ahead on objectives
True mate ! Rox Peanut doesn't have the mentality like Bengi when approaching the final match. That made them lose the game. SSG and SKT have the same control style but SKT was simply better at the control game. 3 teams are equally strong and talent. But SKT still be best.
Why this is still the best Worlds ever - wildcard team upset on the 1st day - first time a wildcard team (and beat a korean team) to reach the quarterfinals - FW = Korean Killers - Peanut - "This is TSM's big shot" - action packed and down to the wire SKT vs ROX semifinal (that Ashe arrow, that MF support and that Bengi comeback) - an extremely surprisingly even grand final with silver scrapes (with SSG coming back from 0-2 to tie the series) - SKT emerges as the ultimate best team in the world
SKT VS ROX, even though it's only a semi-final, is the most intense out of all games that I've watched till the present. Those games in that time, make me staple my love for LoL till now, even though I don't play the game anymore.
I really believe it is the greatest series ever played. Two reverse back to back wins first from ROX and then from SKT. Games were full of clutch plays from both teams and from pretty much every player. So intense and so close.
lol, this is objectively false. The bigger the sample size, (100 million monthly active and still growing) the BIGGER the pool of professional players. Bigger pool of Pro Players equals a bigger pool of top-class players like SKT, SSW level we'll have an even better Worlds next year.
SSG vs SKT was not only the best series thus far, they were THE ONLY team to ever make SKT go to game 5 in a worlds final. GG AND WP TO BOTH TEAMS!!!!👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
yeah and especially when you're loosing 2-0 against skt and getting completely destroyed early in the 3rd game, some of the teams would've just gave up and play tilted making stupid moves but ssg kept playing like if it was just the first game
Coming back after a sad night SKT lost in the semi-finals yesterday 😭. It's been 3 years since SKT last won the world championship. I really hope SKT can win the world championship once more before Faker retires. Hope they can come back and win next year
T1 is no longer a dominant team. As a SKT fan, I have to admit that T1 is no longer that superteam that everyone’s scared of. They’re a really good team, no doubt, but not THE BEST. If I had to guess, the 2020 world champion (if there is one) is going to be one of the LPL teams, maybe JDG or TES (?)
I remember watching skt crush royal three years ago at the exact spot. It's all like a dream. Just unbelievable to me that a team have won 3 championship titles out of 6. Gotta love SKT.
This was honestly the most amazing and impressive, breathtaking worlds I have ever experienced. Straight from day one the niveau of the games where set to a standard that I have never seen bevore. Wildcard teams eliminating top seeds of the best regions of competitive LoL and everyone stepping up to defeat the unbeatable World Champions SKT1. I can't even wait to experience Worlds in 2017. Absolutely-breath-taking ! Thank you Riot for letting me and all of your fans have such a great and overwhelming experience. Thanks for letting me scream at my PC Monitor (sponsored by Asus) because I was too exited to contain it. Thanks for letting me cheer for Wildcard Teams that I have never heard about. Thanks for giving me joy on every weekend. Thank you to the casters for the great atmosphere and exitement which they sent by letting their emotions and exitement into their casting. Thanks for letting me have part of this experience I will never forget!
This worlds seems like the best worlds. The tour of na, the production level, the matchups were very hyped. Amazing semi finals and finals. Sadly do not think riot will ever top this peak they reached in 2016.
Yup, you are right. I believe another big factor to this worlds was that the crowd was more lively and into the action. I didn't see or feel that when worlds headed to China and I most certainly dont feel that vibe right now. We'll see where it goes from here.
@Akira the music is amazing and this was the best worlds ever I love reliving when SKT were on top. I still watch the semi and final matches sometimes especially game 4 SKT vs Rox tigers. Thus video is perfect no other worlds highlights is put together like this one.
They won 2017 Spring and Msi pretty easily but 2017 summer they had huge issues in top and jungle then when they got to worlds Bang did everything he could to lose
BENGI MOST OVER SHADOWED PLAYER OF THE TOURNEMENT. He IS SKT's best player. EDIT: Bengi didnt even make the Top 20 yet he was catalyst w/o bengi i dont think skt wouldve even made it to the semi's
Bengi was never under rated. Chicago Bulls, everybody knows Jordan but do they know who his teammates was? Nope. He's just getting over shadowed by Faker's fame. Since their duo is the Recipe for Success -Imaqtpie 420. Bengi and Faker play so well w/ each other, he just makes Faker so much better and he carries Faker to point A to point Z. It's like a map you see. Bengi feeds Faker, Faker feeds Bang or Duke, = Get Rekt plebs. But again, Bengi was never under rated, he's just too close to the sun to see but he's there.
i really miss watching worlds with crowd screaming and being so hyped when games were close and so hype.. now its just covid, no crowd and nowhere near to 2k16
Came back to refresh my image of SKT because now they are just so broken already. From the best, they're not even considered top anymore, they got demoted to average LCK team.
They choked let's be honest... i was watching montys vid on tsm and he feels the same way I never thought they would win worlds but I think they should of made it out groups.
I believe krepo said it best after worlds. Some people thought they had bad group draws or bad matches and should've made groups but once you saw the Korean teams, it really never mattered. They were never at that level.
Not gonna lie, this year was probably the most competitive run SKT had to surpass. They actually fought to become the best and made it happen! Congrats SKT for actually playing League of Legends at the Worlds Finals.
It's May 26 2024 and it's been a wild ride from MSI 2024's bo5, worlds 2023 Faker and T1's redemption, and DRX and Deft's cinderella story. Hoping to see more bangers from today.
chineses team have betteer chance agains korean tha NA or EU team cuz all chineses team dont care about EU and NA playstyle and barely studie they games all they do is watch korean team and copy they playstyle in short term they think NA and EU not worth the time to watch they Games
Don't act like EU fans were better. Sure French fans were great but once OG/FNC got dumpster so hard, all the EU fans said there was no point in watching the finals. There was even a thread to convince EU fans to not give up on watching the finals. www.reddit.com/r/leagueoflegends/comments/3q6ev4/spoiler_to_all_those_saying_they_wont_watch_the/
looking back, skt had really dominated the league scene for years. starting from their 2013 up until now. it's really sad that they were defeated 3-0 in the finals 2017, and didn't make it to world's last year. i hope the new rebuilt skt roster will be like the skt 2015 with marin and bengi, or if possible an upgrade. 2019 may be the year when skt punch their tickets to world's stage and possibly lift the summoner's cup again. (skt fan since 2013)
Bleo SKT won't be forgotten like TPA. SKT just established themselves as the GOAT for being the only lol team to win 3 world championships. It would take a minimum possibility of 2 years+ for fnatic and Samsung to match that feat and 3 years+ for any other lol team. SKT established a legacy that can't be forgotten in the lol esports scene.
A game's lifespan probably won't extend that far. Tops 10 years before they come up with LoL 2. So a newly formed team will have to win 4/4 future seasons to beat SKT's record. Also, Faker.
Bleo I feel skt has already created a legacy large enough to remember, maybe even after a couple of decades. They're so dominant for such a long time, especially if you're talking about decades then season 1-6 is just the beginning
H2K had garbage macro play. They would need a 10k gold lead to close out SSG. RYU got dumpster but H2K bot lane was trash. How many kills were they gifted by jankos? They didn't even accrue a CS advantage or first blood tower. Maybe if baldgiven wasn't boosted, the series could be close.
I think the issue is Ryu didn't survive a laning phase once. Even the game where Crown got a solo kill on faker, faker still assure even CS, had chip tower damage, and had an impact on the game. This is with Faker getting pressured by ambition quite a bit. Faker took down his tower first nearly 4/5 of the games, whereas ryu got dumpster even in winning lane match ups.
The problem is that Prolly had a single game plan that he shoved down H2K's throats without adapting. He tried to get top and mid winning lanes, and bot a weak lane with strong late. The problem was Ryu sucked in that series. In game 3 at least they should have put him on a weaker champ with only waveclear duty, and focused on getting forgiven a strong winning lane. Maybe then H2K would have won 1 or 2 games before losing the series.
they were pretty good in EU LCS (won spring / summer split), but they played really bad on big tournaments like MSI, and ofc Worlds. Don´t forget they are a new team in the LCS, they played last year in Challenger series. so mi think they imrpove over time and can be as big as fnatic or origen. hope next yeasr the EU powerhouses will be strong again.
SKT are going to become (If they haven't already) what all dominate teams in any sport become. They're a dynasty and that's always going to attract hate. Everyone loves to root for the underdog. The longer SKT stay on top, the better it will be when that one team can finally take them down. They're the Yankees of pro league.
