I hope Mima Ito and Miu Hirano win gold and silver at the olympics, I hope to see all their hard work and dedication to the sport pay off and I want to see their emotions, their joy and relief . Chinese players have been there and done that, I respect them and all their hard work, it’s expected of them to win, so I want the underdogs to win, I want to see a fairy tale ending for Miu Hirano and Mima Ito in the olympics
►Women's Team Final: CHINA Vs JAPAN (Mar 6, 2016) 1. FUKUHARA Ai - LIU Shiwen 14:01 2. ISHIKAWA Kasumi - LI Xiaoxia 38:57 3. ITO Mima - DING Ning 1:23:41 • • • • Award Ceremony 1:54:55 • • • •
Now, Mima Ito competes with Sun Yingsha (Shasha), Wang Manyu, Wang Yidi, Chen Xintong... No longer Ding Ning, Li Xiaoxia, Liu Shiwen. Even Chen Meng & Zhu Yiling now are the big sisters in China National team. With the current 22 years Mima Ito, Hina Hayata, Miu Hirano, Miyu Nagasaki, The Japanese are still 2nd best to the Chinese.
That was 3 years ago. Different story today. Miu getting close to having her head back on straight, with Ito so much more mature and better and Katsumi greatly improved and with the Chinese women going over their prime age, look for Japanese gold in 12.
John Wu - Mr. Wu, I’m afraid you’re wrong. Top Chinese players all near end of their prime. Japanese best players are only 19 years old. Japan has greatly improved every aspect of their TT Team. Coaching, training facilities, regimented workouts. And even Chinese fans have to agree, the 2 best young players in the world are Ito and Miu. No body else is even close. Miu is a one in a million great athlete.
John Wu - judging by your name you are understandably prejudice towards your country. And I understand that. And it’s cool that you can only see what you want to see. Buy facts unfortunately don’t back your comments. Mika Ito has consistently beaten ALL of your top players. Hina Hayata has recently beaten your top players and when she lost the matches were extremely close. And that brings us to the best of the best. Miu Hirano. At 17 she stormed through all of the top Chinese senior players to win a major tournament. She then fell into a slump but has recently showed signs she will soon dominate women’s TT. All the young Japanese have proven they can and will continue to win. Unfortunately for the Chinese, their best are at the end of the prime years. Good luck at the Olympics; China will need it.
