that's quite an impressive, voluminous etude, well played! Do you know Alkan? I think he would be fitting for you and your skills. E.g. the concerto for solo piano, or chants op. 65, or some of the etudes op. 35. Since you already like Kapustin and Medtner, Alkan completes my three favourite composers (besides Bach).
I used to play alkan before 5 years ago, but not now. In my opinion, he is one of underrated composer.(e.g. Lyapunov, Feinberg, Stanchinsky, Lekeu, Korngold)
Interesting. I loved Alkan right away and love him more and more over the years with repeated listening. But his works require much work and virtuosity. Then again, same for Medtner and Kapustin. I agree with your other mentions, except Stanchinsky and Lekeu which i don't know. I'd add Martinu to that. Thanks for responding!
