Nothing like when you get back from a trip, and your wife is standing there waiting for you with a huge smile on her face, and arms open so wide you could fit the world in ... definition of love .... Been there... Thanks for sharing.
@@OurRetirementAntics That’s awesome. This summer my wife and I took an 8,000 mile, 11 state, 30 day motorcycle trip pulling a trailer through the Pacific North & Southwest. I can fully relate to your experience out on the road. I’ve found it to be one of the most liberating as well as exciting things I’ve done in life. And the icing on the top for me is my wife enjoys riding as well so it just adds the overall experience and out marriage. 🙏🇺🇸✌🏽
Thank you. I did two more of these. Check out the videos. I recently did a ride from Florida and got good comment regarding it on FB. I have a new GoPro Hero 10 camera and I am doing more narration and trying to tell a story each day. Am planning a 3 week+ trip in Mar/Apr were I will be uploading a video most days. Check them out. Thanks again for watching and leaving a comment.
Thanks for the ride. We have ridden out west on our '13 Wing on some of those same roads. The temptation is to ride 80 mph or more because of the distances and flat straight roads. I noticed that you were putting down some asphalt too! But pulling a trailer, my 'Wing is pretty hard on gas above 75 mph. I'll have to slow down this year with gas at $4 or more! Happy Trails!
Mine is a 2016. The trailer grosses about 250 lbs, I weight about 240 lbs and I have the F4 plus windshield. I get an average of about 34 mpg on these long trips in the west.
In July (2019) I rode my bike form Mountain Iron, MN to Boise, ID and my wife flew out to meet me. After 4 days with family she flew home and I rode home via Nez Perce National Forest (central Idaho) and Glacier National Park. What an awesome experience. July of 2020 I'll ride to Oak Island, NC and my wife will join me there.
You will really enjoy the Gold Wing if you take any long rides. Set the cruse, crank up the music and enjoy. I am currently on the same trip this year. Thanks for leaving a comment.
Nice video. I've done many cross country trips like it, so watching yours makes me long for the road. I ride a Harley but have been contemplating trading for a '18 Goldwing, still haven't made my mind up yet.
I used the iHeart radio app on my phone. T-Mobile does not charge data for most music services. I rode most of the trip separate from the main groups. I like to stop a lot to take photos. Thanks for watching the video
Thanks for the vid, Loved the sunset and bike at 7:03. How did you mount the camera? Was nice and stable. Still looking how to mount the Hero 5 I have for my GL1800 Goldwing. Thanks Verne
I mounted the camera to a tripod screw on about a 4 inch RAM Mount arm attached to a RAM Mount ball on the clutch handle. I also taped a lead fishing weight to the 4 inch arm to dampen the vibration. I put the camera on the handlebars behind the windshield to avoid wind noise.
all these videos get ruined when these guys just have got to play some loud obnoxios music...ID RATHER HEAR A FART. OR how about the sound of an engine instead??? would it kill you to make a decent bike vid???
