That's perfect video with perfect explanation. Thanks for that, but there is one important step before starting job like this, and that is the rising of the car. I saw the Rise Steel Floor Jack and Jack stand on the working side. There is two position which the wheel have to be on the working process. First is straight for the wheel remove and second around 30 degrees it depends which side the brakes changing, that mean the steering wheel have to be move after the rising of the car. If the whole front have to be raise, that is important to be seen before brakes changing. That's why I want to ask, is the entire front raised, how do you raise it and where exactly the Jack stands holding the car? Thanks a lot!

Good questions and good observation points. When both side need to be raise wheels position has to be straight. On this job I just raise one side of the vehicle at the time I just turned slightly the wheels to the opposite side on case the brakes failed car stop with anything is next to it and avoid to go straight up back and impact anything behind. Lift the vehicle I use the frame rail spot to locate the jack and the stand i used the location where the jack need to be. For safety reasons I always use both at the same time the jack and the metal stand, if the jackstand fail the jack give you an extra time to retrieve yourself safe out of the vehicle. Hope this information help you

@@flako4u77 May I ask you one more question please. I am not using electrical or pneumatic tools. There is 4 bolts in the back. Two behind the cylinders, and another two for the frame. I have to replace the rotors and of course I have to developed all 4 bolts and take down the frame too. Do you know the torque /Nm or Ft lb/ which that 4 bolts have to be tighten, and the torque of the 5 bolts of the wheel? Thank you

Great video ! I did mine and did not have to remove the 9mm bolts...are these the normal 'slider' on other caliper types ? after my brakes done, I have intermittently 'soft pedal' meaning that sometimes I have to push harder on the brakes as they are 'slushie'...you are putting grease on those, so I guess they move ? I did not do that...this might be why the caliper does not retract freely. Thoughts ?

Give it few days if continue doing that just remove the bolts and add some grease on it and you will be fine

I have had three different quotes. I ask them about just replacing the pads. Each one, independently tells me to replace the rotors too...not just the pads. At first I thought they were just trying to upsell me. But after all three said the same thing, it got me wondering. Is this BS? I have a 2017 A8L 3.0 with almost the exact same mileage as this vehicle in the video.

Do i need to use scanner to reset the brake pads warning light? Or it just extinguish by itself?
@flako4u77
@flako4u77 11 месяцев назад
You gonna need the scanner to compress the pistons and you gonna need the scanner to release the pistons. When you release the pistons with the scanner the light will go off by itself no reset need it, but you need the scanner to do the job. Hope this help if any just shoot me a message and I will give you more information if its need

Hey bro would this fit on a 2017 Audi a8L v6 3.0? I just ordered the parts but I’m not sure if it’ll fit
@flako4u77
@flako4u77 Год назад
It should fit bro both vehicles have the same dimensions the only thing it changes its the parts on the engine. Like spark plugs are different part number and all that.
