You're my fav car review channel. Your videos are different from other channels... you can say it's a little more 'personalized'. Been a subscriber for winding roads for about a year and just found this one and subscribed. Keep up the good work Chris!!!!! Love it.
@@TheTopher Yeah, awesome. & I got a chance to drive a 2017 Escalade, which belongs to one of my aunts; it was a short drive though, but in case you're interested, have a look. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8-vJLEiJJs4.html
I bought one after watching this video. Love this vehicle. Thanks for the show. I would have bypassed this vehicle completely as I wasnt the biggest fan of how GM squared off all their newer models. The design however, grew on me a bit. Enough to get an Escalade. No regrets here.
I actually own one but it's black with black leather it's great for my family needs here in Philadelphia. We are preparing for a long road trip this summer to Morehead City, NC and I am very excited to see how comfortable it is on this 6-10 hour road trip.
Google Website very happy with mine. I've towed a 8,000lb trailer from Dallas to Houston 5 times and it performed great. That 6.2 is no joke. Interior wise, it isn't too far off from the escalade, but for 20k less I'm not complaining at all. I've done some work on it as well. A cold air intake from Cold Air Inductions, taller rear end gears, magnaflow exhaust, 2inch rear leveling kit, custom dyno tune, and a few other things. IMO its a better buy than a escalade. All I'm really missing out is the big headlights and tall led tail lights, though I've upgraded the headlights with morimoto HID's and its way brighter than my buddy's 2015 escalade.
Engines and components are made in Monterrey Mexico and assembled in Arlington TX. I should know since I drove for rich logistics who haul their shit.💩
Found your channel the other night and subbed immediately. For some reason, I always get a real nice relax feeling when watching your drives. Keep up your good work!
Thanks for that night tour. Its one thing to see this bad boy at the car show and another to see it in action and all its lighted splendor. Awsome ride. Looking forward to the 2015 model price to drop. Very impressive new design. Though I liked the old wider body on truck frame of the 2014 and older models. These new slimmer/ longer squared GM Yukon/Escalade/Tahoe models look like funeral hearses.
the losers saying is got plastic and fake wood cant afford a Caddy...all wood in the Caddies is real, the aluminum is real, and the chrome is chrome.....Kia drivers
I have a 2015 premium and no the aluminum is not aluminum its a veneer over plastic but it feels good to the touch and only the wood on the doors is real its been one of my favorite trucks have ever owned though I had an 07 for 3 years before and it certainly is a major improvement over the 07 I don't know if sporty and a large suv go together but its definitely not as "squishy" feeling as the older models is the best way to describe it
I am an old retired guy. The Escalade looks like something I might like to pick up some Friday afternoon and return on Monday morning. The rest of the time I am fine w/ my plain vanilla 2017 Camry LE. (BTW, the MSRP is $23070; less than 25% of that of the Caddy...)
Had an 07 sport Cadillac Escalade same color sadly I had to let it go. Do to Rats braking in to my truck in a regular bases. Insurance started getting a little to high and it’s cost me more and more money trying to replace the stolen parts from it. There’s never a day that goes by we’re I don’t miss my truck.
I'm 13 my mom has a 2008 Cadillac Escalade and I'm in love with it she got it for $85,000. But one thing is that if one thing goes wrong with a Cadillac the whole car goes downhill from there.
Don't be a hater just because you don't have an open enough heart or an diverse enough group of friends to realize that its 2017 and guess what we are all created to define ourselves and if that means Bruce is no longer a part of mainstream media so be it, Also realize that there are people in every part of our diverse melting pot that is America that are going through GII, and Transphobic, close mindedness that often can't make such a flawless execution on there transition and they deserve the same amount of respect as anyone else in this land of our! I would like to say Caitlyn Jenner keep shining, I'll try to help keep haters back for you forever a proud transally! LAREN CHASE CURRY
I love how the European and Japanese fanboy's come to these videos strictly to bash the Escalade. Do your research. In terms of reliability, cost of ownership, and overall driving experience the Escalade reigns supreme! If you don't care for the $90,000 plus price tag then do as I am doing and get a used unit and enjoy some bang for the buck.
John Doe that’s funny! I’ve owned, sold, or serviced all o them. No comparison. Consumer reports hasn’t given relevant opinions in years. Many of your failures of the Escalade are just plain inaccurate or made up. Try rebuffing against someone that is not knowledgeable and experienced.
John Doe I tend to go with personal experience as opposed to the word of critics. (some of whom I’m sure are in bed with certain manufacturers). Kind of like most food critics probably can’t cook and most movie critics have never made a feature film. I’m much more satisfied building my opinions on my personal experience. Your attempt at a personal insult means nothing to me.
John Doe Indiana police officer (Lieutenant) of 13 years and Trump supporter. Married to a Nurse Practitioner with 2 beautiful kids. Cadillac XTS Premium and GMC Yukon Denali. I don’t give credence to CR on any review for any product I have personal experience with. Good or bad. I research every purchase I make but not in magazines. I utilize owner reviews and the experience of folks I know that have dealt with what I’m looking for. Real world stuff. Anything else?
John Doe Really. So do you dine at establishments based on what food critics say or do you eat where you know from experience or thru people you trust that the experience will be good? You have zero class. Our country is better off without people like you voting. Thank you! Last comment. Have more important things to do.
I love the Escalade and plan on buying one, but I don’t think the platinum version is worth the extra money. Your mainly just paying the premium for the rims and the platinum logo.
Rey Fuentes no I want something that wasn't taken out of a Silverado .. why can't they put a floor shifter in it? Or at least make the column shifter less cheap. Idk. Just bugs me, probably a personal preference.
Because they would have to remove the central cup holders and make the central console smaller since is a SUV "family" truck they need a lot of space to keep stuff
julio bello a column shifter is fine, I meant like why can't they make the shifter different from their cheaper vehicles, that's all. Just looks cheap.
i see one of these every time I drive. They're all over the place. IT surprises me, but they are very nice vehicles, and I personally wouldn't buy one of these, but I love the feel of being in a truck and being able to see whats going on ahead over the vehicles in front of me
SomeDiamondPro Crafter as a matter of fact, I see a ton of 2016 and 2017 platinums drive by and I don't even live in a rich area. You can tell it's Platinum because of the wheels.
the center console is so outdated. i mean look at velar and look at the swedes and germans. when you pay 90k, you want to own a complete innovation marvel and this isn't it. moreover, this just a slightly modified tahoe.
“Slightly modified Tahoe” lol come see me at Capitol Hyundai in Montgomery al. I’m a salesman and I could sell you a new one from my other company lot. I’m planning on buying one about a year from now. Your new car could be a phone call away 😉
Its astonishing how little road noise there is. What you're hearing is just the mic. The new escalade is so soundproofed theres absolutely zero road noise.
Hey Chris. Since you've driven so much cars can you recommend me a good luxury SUV? I'm really having a hard time choosing one. But I trust you. You seem like someone that has great suggestions to give. Thank you! Also please be under 90K haha. I would love this Escalade but it's too expensive.
Jordan L look at the navigator, very luxurious and it has a softer ride compared to the escalade and its 30k cheaper.. im an escalade guy but im giving u my honest review/opinion
Used to. Traded it for an SRX, brand new, the last SRX they had, since Cadillac is switching to the XT5, so I got a great deal. My Navigator had 15k on it, and literally blew up, 2015 model. Switched to the SRX, 20,000 miles later, and it's fine. Like it SHOULD be.
do you think platinum worth the money over luxury premium model. I dont care about tvs i would probably choose platinum because massage seats what about steering wheel only available heated on platinum? I am looking this week to buy ESV platinum vs luxury premium and difference in price is 6k do you think premium is worth paying 6k for premium.
I give you a like and I will suscribe. I am waiting for my Cadillac. great video. great car .it's my dream car . well.i should work harder than now for affording that.
