Dude, I'm renting one of these pieces of garbage right now and this happened after the first time I put the top down (in the garage just to test it out) and then put it back up. Suddenly it gave me this error and kept beeping at me as I hit specific speed thresholds while driving. Even though the top was secure, it didn't think it was. Thank you for this video! Honestly, I didn't understand what you were talking about when you were saying there was a hydraulic thing in there that I had to push down on to fix the issue. I thought you were talking about the actual hydraulic bottle piece. I just put my hand in there and pushed on that bar until it wouldn't go further and that issue was suddenly fixed! What a piece of junk vehicle. I'll be glad to take this back to Avis when my truck arrives in Hawaii! I don't know why anyone would ever buy one of these.
Explain to me how you raised the rear cover (the one that goes up and tilts while the convertible top is stored) and in general how are the steps to manually open the entire convertible top, it would be very helpful. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

I fixed mine, and it has been working fine ever since I filmed this video. Do you see a structural change in the sides of the soft top behind the small window on the side? It could have come misaligned, that's the only time I had issues. I tried to explain it In the video, but I'd rather you take that information for personal info :)
@@MrPavo1997 yea i think mine is a different problem the plastic that fits back in place when the convertible is opening or closing was broken, i had the same message i just wish they had a way to manual roll up and down the convertible.
