At one time my best 0-60 in my scat pack was 4.7 and I thought that was fast. I'm better launching now and got 4.4. I was surprised when I got about a 4.7 in my q70L5.6. Very happy that's y I got it for my wife so I'll enjoy it too. I uploaded the 0-60 vid.
@Yemi has a slower 0-60 as the S is rear wheel. Unless you get the xS which are RARE. The only other difference is seats, aero, and paddle shifters... There are no performance benefits to the S trim anymore... The Y50 had 4WS which was only on S trims. Either way i would take an S trim as well. I like the seats and aero 😆
@@kyoakland my 06 m45 was a blast... Currently in a battle within choosing between the y50 and y51... The y51 (2011+) didn't have the armrest sliders or rear seat entertainment options... I was always concerned the v6 would really have to work to get these heavy cars goin, but come to find out, the wifes fx35 weighs more than my m45 😆 so that's not a concern anymore.. The v8 is nice tho...
Altitude is a killer. My 6speed G has a better 0-60 time than either of those down here in Louisiana with it's 300hp lol. Crazy how much of a difference elevation makes.
Ibrahim Dwidari it really depends on what your looking for if your looking for performance you obviously go for the hellcat if you want a car that's a bit more luxurious you go for the infinity
V8 Guy infiniti has both performance and luxary, which is why i would stick with the infiniti. if i decided to keep the infiniti i know i wouldnt spend tons of money on repairs compared to the dodge. If you keep a dodge, after a few years of owning it your gonna spend tons of money on repairs.
You are 100% incorrect. You clearly don't know anything about Infiniti's. They are far from reliable. So much ignorance is spread online it is frightening. Where is Infiniti on the reliability list? www.jdpower.com/press-releases/2017-vehicle-dependability-study
Q70L 2018 3.7 AWD goes 0-60 in 5.9 (and not even in the sport mode), comparing it with RWD Dodge is not fair. Dodge might be faster to 60 but Q70L handles like older (the best) BMW 7 series (E38) with great brakes with smooth low RPM accelaration. Only 7 series and $100k+ Porches can handle like Q70L.
I work selling nissan, and Infiniti is a great manufacturer. We deal with them all the time also, and only ballers buy the Q70. Whoever says q70 is a bad car, you're just broke.
There is absolutely nothing luxury about a Challenger of any trim level. I had a hellcat for two years and the interior quality was on par with my Ram...which is to say, meh. I have a Redsport Q50 now and the interior is lightyears ahead of my hellcat. Also, with the flash/tune=bolt ons I've done to the Q I'm running mid to high 11s 1/4 so it's on par with my old hellcat I liked the hellcat but wasn't in love with it.
I can't understand how oblivious people are to the several times it showed "@one mile above sea level" in the video right under the times. Can you imagine what else gets missed in the daily lives of some people. I think it should be illustrated in neon yellow.
It would have been a lot more entertaining and educational if you had done a Mashup Drag Race, like you did with the Q50S vs. Chevy SS? I would guess it must be for liability reasons, but you do drive cars for a living? 😉
Jonathan Ramirez *Esteban* That's the point. They do "mashups" to put to different classes of vehicle against one another. They used to do it all the time.
They should of put it against the 392 that would of been a closers match up and with better drivers. I have a 5.7 hemi challenger and I do 5.2-5.5 0-60mph here in Florida
+Bill Plaschka Hi Bill, so how many hellcats have you gotten into the 4's on the road at a mile above sea level? We're just curious where you get your "facts". Thanks
Bill Plaschka 😂 dude like he said they are 1 MILE above sea level these cars dont make near as much horsepower and this track isnt like a perfectly setup test track that is specifically designed for this stuff
I'll grant the mile above sea level likely makes a difference, but not as much as a NA would change...but has anyone dyno'd the difference? The hellcats are running at sea level seemingly more power than dodge states...640-650rwhp. I have some slips from two years of race the runway. Can get exact numbers when I am back home.
Yeah, 1 mile above sea level on a 707 hp vehicle won't really make a difference. It's traction limited, not limited by HP. Also it's FI so it won't be as hindered anyway. You can hit 5.3 seconds all day long in a 228i, above sea level, since I've done it many times. For a car that only has "240 hp". There are better ways to launch this particular vehicle to get it to go faster. At sea level you can do 3.7 with a proper launch.
donald tucker depends what your definition of "usable" is. A scat pack will only get you so far. I run in a group of hellcats with a scat pack that joins in and he sometimes has trouble keeping up on the highway when we get into clear ways. A hellcat just pulls and pulls and pulls like there is no tomorrow.
Bobby Wong yes you a correct it does depend on how you drive and treat your vehicle but still i had a friend who drove like a granny, she had an Infiniti Q50 for 3 years she loved it (until she totaled it) now she has a Dodge Charger v6 (which was her dream car) she likes it but already needed new brake and a engine check she said as soon as she is finished paying off her car she is getting a q70. Maybe she drove the car aggressively idk but she is getting a better option
+ I don't wanna put any comments on women drivers, however, you sure women drivers is skillful? Cause I saw lots of women like to drive Prius, Leaf, Smart, Mini, Miata, and small Honda civic hot hatch, and they don't know the rule on the road. I only saw one women drive SRT8 very skillfully and respectfully when drive across the country.
i am not the letter E both the cars look cool but my q70l is better and it no were near a soccer mom car it's a car that you want to make stand out the hellcat is just a box with a bunch of hp
thats the dumbest shit i have heard. Hellcat challenger and charger make you stand out as they are different then anything else on the road. That infiniti is a ugly pos, rebadged nissan!!!!
hellcat and charger are just know for there power and that's it not for the looks or luxury infiniti is know for the looks and luxury dodge challenger is a cube made into a car and most people can say the infiniti looks ten times better than that box
A Tesla Model 3 Performance Package for approx. $55,000 does 0-60 in 3.2 sec. Sad but true! The Tesla Model S Performance can do 0-60 in 2.4 seconds. Electric cars will be the future and the gasoline engine that I love and have grown up with will be a relic in the future.
i am not the letter E that's ok, driving that Fiat will make me look like an uneducated dumbass who doesn't know how to make a smarter decision (investment) with his money and spent it on a useless money pit that looks like it came right out of the dinosaur era lol
guy proulx people know they will have to spend money on those cars. They buy them because they are fun. It's like being a rocks tar or a lawyer. Both get you money but one is fun
RamDi3sel it's a luxury sport car, the exhaust isn't suppose to be super loud. That is with most expect the S line up or AMG really. Not sure about Lexus .
These are entertaining but I don't understand why they bother to do speed tests in this location..there are always way off from that auto makers tested times and any other car magazine.
That is not a good matchup.Yes the Cat has plush leather and is luxurious inside, but they are not in the same class whatsoever. But when it comes right down to it, as with any car, there are just no cars like MoPaR',s the original #1 all American badass
This video all around was bad but the launch control seem weak probably because he didn't know what he was doing . Basically made the hell cat look bad to be honest
i keep getting notifications of new replies on this thread lol. to people saying infiniti is shit....well too bad for you cuz infiniti is great. my last car was an 05 infiniti g35 and ive received a decade worth of compliments....my current car is a 16 dodge challenger scat pack. for those who say dodge is shit....well sorry about your luck. The challenger/charger line is very reliable and ive had no issues with mine. In one year of ownership i have had tons of compliments on my dodge. id be happy with either one of these mashup cars. id love the infiniti....but i would covet the dodge. its just way rawer, manlier, and more dangerous. I like the design and angry demeanor of the hemi engines and lastly i like the tremec 6 spd way more than the manual in my old infiniti...
The Q70 will last up to 300,000 miles with small maintenance. I've seen some over 400,000 miles. A friend who travels states to states for business. Award winning engine. That's how you save money knowing your car won't let you down. But it was an M37 with forest air. It's still the same model.
@@khmerbraveheart yeah AWD is a must for the fam. Ours got totaled after hitting a deer. Picked up a BMW X5 a few days after. We're looking for another M37x. We miss it so much.
Q70L is the best handling non-German sedan out there. But considering realibility and $20-30k lesser price than German sedans of its class, Q70L is nest handling car for the money. I drove 740IL 2001 for years and drove like 100 different cars and this Infiniti is only car which can match that.
The common complaint about the hellcat is it can't grab traction to get great 0-60 times. It's been the issue since day 1 and yet they won't put one out with AWD. Living across the HWY from where they are testing I can absolutely tell you elevation makes a difference... there's a reason drag cars can't break records at Bandimere.
I swear in some of these tests we need a foot cam. I question if these dudes are putting it to the floor or not. 6.6 sec for a 400+ hp awd v8 car doesnt seem right. Elevation or not
An NA engine is going to lose 15-18% of its power at this altitude. This engine was putting down about 335-340hp. At that weight and little traction these times are reasonable.
I have one bro lol. I love it so much. Don’t love the gas mileage though but eh. Question, did u leave your window chrome on or did you wrap it?? I cant decide on that.
instead of using the gear shifter in autostick and pushing back over to drive, at a dead stop you can push the right paddle shifter twice to start in second gear... after takeoff hold the right paddle down and it will shift back into Drive!
Despite the number performance difference, I'm surprised the Q70 is only a second slower to 60. But even my 2017 Q50 3.0tt shows it's 0-60 being 5.4 seconds. That V8 in the Q70L has to have more torque to get there just a fast if not right at 5 seconds.
In partial defense of some comments made regarding these poor 0-60 times -- by some dummies (who've watched this and other videos by these two reviewers) who fail to get through their dense skulls, despite being advised of -- these test are done 1 mile above sea level, which means the air is much thinner, which also means the car cannot breathe as well, thus resulting in slower times (the same would apply to a human runner). However, after watching many of these two reviewers over the years, neither of them know how to drive, nor do they know much about cars in general; certainly not enough to put themselves in a position to review or test cars, and post videos... just my two cents.
