We take a look at the updated 2017 model of Ford EcoSport. This is not the Facelift version, which will most likely be launched in India by this Year-end or Early Next Year. The variant in the video is called Platinum Edition. It's above Titanium+ variant and offers additional features such as 17" Diamond Cut Alloy Wheels with 205/50 R17 Apollo Alnac Tyres,Cruise Control, Black Painted Roof, Front & rear bumper applique, Rear Centre Headrest. We compare it with the earlier model.

I've had my 2017 ecosport titanium automatic for nearly a year now, and I absolutely love it. My only complaint is I wish the boot (trunk) was a bit bigger. Other than that, it's perfect for me 🥰

1. Isn't the touch screen a bit too far for the driver to operate, or can it be operated using the console buttons? 2. the navigation maps are provided by MMI or some other vendor? 3. Cruise control is available only in Titanium+ variants or also in any lower variant?

Hmm I took titanium plus in 2016 Jan , Its awesome vehicle, We went to Shivamogga from Warangal and then from shivamogga to jog falls then back to warangal. it was almost 2500 km of journey in 4 days, My mother cant walk much as she is suffering with arthritis but this vehicle is so comfortable that she felt no inconvenience at all even after 2500 KM journey. So smooth handling. we had so much of fun and adventure. I have to say this is best value for money. Just they have to add AC vents for back seats , rest of all it is best vehicle for long drives.

Karthik - if this vehicle is not released in India how did you get to test drive it? do you this it's will be launched by Dec 2017? Also, if the car that you rode is releasing in India that means it doesn't get projects headlamps? can I test ride this in Bangalore via Cauvery Ford? Thanks Vinay. Platinum Edition will come in all 8 color option just like the other variants. But if you choose color options like Kinetic Blue or Chill in Platinum, it might take have a long waiting period. Take Care.

I would like to know some information about the new AVN system that is launched on the Platinum edition of the Ford EcoSport. 1) How is the map data loaded in the Head unit, as in, SD card, CD/DVD or USB stick? 2) What is the map update process? 3) Is this Head unit an India specific solution, as in, is it only targeted for the Indian Market? 4) It would be great if you could provide the supplier information (such as supplier for the Head unit, supplier for Maps, like Map my India etc.). and hey!! where is this video shot?? Western ghats??

Hi Karthik, That's a good review . I really liked the Alloy wheels. Ford finally came up with some good alloy wheel design. Does the same alloy in Ecosport2017 comes for Figo 2017 too ?

titanium came with 205/60 r16. since they have made it 17 shouldnt it be 205/55 r17. u have mentioned as 50 profile.

KUMAR KAR yee bro rightly said. With back wheel it looses its look completely. They should relaunch it without back wheel so the rear back lights are somewhat visible. Also the alloys should be 18 inch & the dashboard should be far bcz it is soo close to the driver as well as the passenger in front. Plastic should be more rich premium.

This was only for sale from 2017 feb to 2018 jan. Very limited production. This was not a facelift but had extra features and got some changes. For ex :- 17 inch Diamond cut alloys, 8 inch Infotainment system with inbuilt navigation (This was not the sync 3 system, so it didn't had Voice Command), Cruise Control, Black Roof, 3 rear adjustable Headrest (normal one had only 2). We had bought this is July 2017 in Diamond White colour and its still rock solid. It's a True Drivers Car.

@@shivammajhi7979 Yes I know but did you get this used car or facelift version BTW the facelift got electronically foldable mirrors too and for request sensor you can gust put your hand inside and it unlocks and it got projector headlamps

So is this similar to the new platinum edition? Coz Titanium + and Platinum have this feature only. I think the next generation Ecosport which is due launch, will come with projector type headlamp atleast for the top of the line variant.

This used to be the ECOSPORT TITANIUM+ Platinum Edition. This particular model came with 8 inch touchscreen with navigation, Cruise Control, 17 inch Alloy Wheels. This was in production for only one year in 2017 before the launch of New Ecosport 2018. We own this model in white colour.
