- Install info and parts listed below - The finished product of the Rigid light upgrade, at least on the front. The rear lights do not work with the Ford bumper because it is too sleek and stylish for an industrial looking light. The rear Ford bumper will be laser cut and modified by the same Tech that designed and built the aluminum brackets holding my light pods.
The light brackets, as covered in a prior video, allow for exact spacing of the three pods in the Raptor bumper. They were designed and manufactured by the Tech upgrading my truck and they can be purchased by getting in touch with Mike at Merle's Automotive in Oklahoma City. 405-634-3432 www.merlesdidit.com
They will be able to help you with all of your Raptor upgrades as they built my truck as it sits with all of the turbo upgrades and JMS gear covered in other videos. Via private carrier they can ship your Raptor in and upgrade it in days whereas some people are without their trucks for weeks waiting on upgrades.
Update: After numerous attempts to list all of the part numbers for Rigid and continually getting rejects from RU-vid saying I cannot do that, all I can say is the info is on their website. As a side note, interesting how quickly the analytics pick out part numbers and reject my posts, in real time basically.

Huh. Very nice.Too much money, though. Don’t need any of those lights. Just need to go locally to get fantastic Vegetarian Pizza!! Who knows which lights company makes the best replacements LEDs for the 2006 - 2009 Toyota 4Runner to UPGRADE the factory FOG or DRIVING lights in the low bumper position, which are SAE approved. Also which would be best suited and Good for driving on normals roads, & occasional off-road use?

How many lights do you have on the flasher now I saw you have the 6amp, I hace 3 sets oh cubes like your and 3 light bars 50-30-22 “ light bars you think it would work ?

I have a total of 10 cubes on the heavy duty flasher. I think your big bars would pose a problem as they draw some serious amperage I am sure.

You mind me asking how much the whole setup costs including installation? Interested in doing this if I end up trading my '14 Raptor for a '17.

I don't mind, and thanks for asking. Surprisingly I am not that deep into it considering I was planning on about 14k with Hennessey. When I get my exhaust and tune I would guess around $5,000 into it. Everything so far has been relatively inexpensive parts and some great mechanics having fun. No final numbers yet but to date I have spent around $2,000.

Marco Trevino - They are connected into the truck driving lights so they come on with them. They are very subtle and look amazing so I would highly recommend just tying them in as well. Thanks for checking it out though and have fun with your project!

Just ordereda a 2018 Raptor, and really want those after market lights, the only thing that concerns me is rocks from other vehicles cracking them, I've had this happen to me on another truck. Loving the strobe effect. Thanks for posting.

David Hobbs - Congrats on the incoming Raptor, it will be one hell of a wait but well worth it. I agree, the thought was in my mind as I have had the same cracks from some top brands but they have all been larger faced lights. The shop that put them in tell me they have very few issues of any sort from Rigid gear and Rigid uses higher end polycarbonate than auto manufacturers so for their lenses. This, coupled with the small profile and the fact that they are tucked back make me think they will be fine. As to the strobe effect, I would suggest the module as the versatility it gives is nice and the installation was simple as it is all Rigid gear.

Thanks for checking it out. E-mail mike@merlesokc.com as these are the guys who have done all the work. They build the aluminum brackets for the lights have have a few different configurations available. They are also a Rigid dealer and can send you everything needed. I think the Rigid Radiance series are priced better than the initial Rigid cubes as they only have one LED driver, but they produce quite enough light and the amber backlight is subtle enough to not look overpowering.

Thank you! They have a yellow ring when the truck lights are on and the ring stays on when the white lights are on too. Very good, subtle look. Rigid Radiance series lights. They are available in multiple colors too.

MIAMI CCW - In the video it was a 3amp, as that was all that was available back then. It died about a year in, having only been used a handful of times. The new six amp that I recently had it replaced with looks much more capable, as they have improved the heatsink and overall “beefiness” of the unit.

The lights are edge lit in the amber and the main light is still a white light. The amber is tied in with my driving and marker lights and comes on when they do. Then the white light is run through one of the upfitter switches.

This is still a work truck so we use the flashers while stationary but it does concern me I might hit the wrong switch in my upfitter bank so I am considering a second switch so both must be on to activate the strobes.

Which specific Radiant series Rigid lights do you install?

SKU: 20204 (Amber) in the front and 20202 (Red) pods in the rear (not in this video). Both the same pod really, and I have had an excellent experience with them. 18k miles and zero rock chips among the six up front. The back-lit look is just hard to beat.

Rigid SKU:40312 and it has performed flawlessly thus far. This is the 3 amp 12 volt unit. The 6 amp is the upgrade but I came in well under that draw.

How did you change the door light in your truck to the amber color?

The door LED package is controlled in the settings under ambient lighting. This is where the color wheel selector is. When the doors are open, that specific door changes to red. Pretty neat Ford. I believe it to be part of the technology package upgrade.

It pulls almost nothing and while I am not sure I bet it is well under an amp. They have all my lights wired into the larger amp switches on my factory upfitters.

Carlos Iglesias - there can be as the input for the backlight and the white lights are separate. In my case I have the backlight tied into the trucks parking lights and the white lights tied into one of my upfitter switches. Excellent lights and 33,000 miles in I have had no trouble, no chipped glass and consistent performance from the product. Thanks for checking out the video.

+WS How much HP are you putting out after all your upgrades? And with the turbos, were they just delimited or actually replaced? And if delimited, any idea what the mod shop did to achieve that? Been trying to find the answer out for a little while now. Thanks!

Blaze, according to the specs after all the upgrades I should be in the 670 range. I think that is a bit optimistic but I have a couple more things to do and then I am going to have it put on a dyno to see what it is really making. I had the turbo ports widened by about one inch but they are still the factory turbo charges. Damn dude, but the crank isn't forged like in the GT, and I talked to SVT and they aren't sure that it can handle over 600 well. You planning to upgrade that?

I have not done deep research (my "new" thing is trying to figure out how to edit my videos better) but I am told by mechanics that everything they see on this truck is over-built and in the same category as race vehicles. One thing they did advise me to quit doing is spinning the tires as I am producing a ton more torque and they fear some damage if I keep that up. I am good with the existing mods though (after I get my cold-air) as the work has really woken the truck up (of course it was more than capable as a stock truck too)

It is the Rigid unit that interfaces exact with all of their LED series. www.rigidindustries.com/installation-accessories/40612 I use this truck for work and I have run these in the day and the night for hours at a time with no hiccups.

mike@merlesdidit.com. They are a great bracket. Initially they made them out of aluminium but they failed with a lot of trucks. They have a stainless steel set now that is incredibly strong and works great. These are the best look I have seen for the lights and thanks for the comments.. Have fun!

Just one of the units runs all my lights. Strobes have proven useful many times as it turns out. The unit is a reasonable price too, mine was $49 from my mechanic. Thanks for the comment.

The amber backlit lights. So at all times when turned on they are amber, and then do you press a button or how do you turn on the led pod to put out white light?

The amber backlight and the white light have individual leads. On my truck the amber is tied in to the parking lights and comes on with truck lighting. I then have the white light tied into one of the factory upfitter switches. Very clean look and I have had no issues with them in 31k miles. Thanks for checking out the video.

Thanks. So 2 leads, one for each mode? So would 1 lead for amber work with running on. And then the white could turn on with my same switch for my 22” bar if wired correct?

@@bowlofreeses960 - Yes, that would work fine... providing you have appropriately sized the switch and added a direct relay to the battery as that is going to be some current draw. The amber remains on with the white on, no affect as it is a backlight really. Good solid unit.

Terry Weight - The shop that has been upgrading my truck manufactures them them. They are a proprietary design that puts the three lights in perfect sequence. They can ship them to you. mike@merlesokc.com has info.

How were you able to place the spot lights so that the rigid badging on each light is on the top? As the bracket is on the other end, most of these end up being upside down on Raptors. Appreciate you insite. Thanks!

Saood Usmani - I am not familiar with all Rigid models but the model I used, which is the radiance series, mounts from the top, or can be turned around for a bottom mount. I have seen plenty of them mounted upside down though so maybe an older version? Good luck and have fun

Saood Usmani - those are the ones. In looking at mine further I can see that face plate can be removed and oriented in any direction you wish. This is how you will be able to solve the problem of the letter orientation.

the bracket is 46537 to top mount but hang the lights the proper way intended. Dont flip the bezel you will void warranty and run into moisture isues because the breather is exposed

I am not certain of the series but they would look great in most cases, there are just too many lines in the Raptor bumper. I am removing the bumper and replacing with an ADD Honey Badger with LED inserts cut in. The shop doing my work is great at fabbing stuff up and I believe they have plans to take a stock rear bumper and do some very cool lighting options based on what they discovered with mine.

chucker1205 - that's fine. These are the high output and wide dispersion models. I believe they are a little over $400 retail. I checked them today and they are in excellent condition of course. Lights look great. My Raptor's just a couple weeks away now, and I may get these. Does the bracket restrict them to only point straight forward, or could the lights on the far sides be angled out a bit to highlight the edges of the road/trail? thx for the vids.
