Thanks for the information, you did a good job of describing your method for replacing the blend door on the driver's side. Helped me a lot. Took me 3 hours though trying to figure out what tool to use and how to get hands up there.
Hey buddy how are you I've seen a couple other videos on how to do this blend or actuator and I'm gonna give you up at 10 for being the most details All the others to quick talk in detail like you do I wanna thank you for a great video and you have yourself a great 2022 thanks again
Easiest way to get to that top screw is to start the car, have someone press and hold the break and unscrew it with a long screwdriver. Took it off in seconds
@@LeftOfCenterRocks that bracket is part of the brake pedal. With the car running I had my wife press the brake pedal all the way down and used a long screwdriver
@@blackonblackprime hmmm maybe I'm doing something wrong. I started the engine and pressed the brake all the way down and nothing appeared to move. I also couldn't get my hand in there any easier. Do you mean a long screwdriver from behind the bracket?
I used a long socket extension from the left side. After the brakes were fully pushed down I was able to unscrew the top screw easily. That's the only bracket that blocked the top screw for me
Thank you so much I have a question does it matter which side to replace because on mine the heater blows cold on driver side so does that mean I replace the passenger side actuator because that’s what I heard they’re vice versa I could be wrong please let me know thank you for this video so much
Hi, the problem that existed on my vehicle was driver side was blowing hot air and no AC…however the passenger side is much easier to access and remove.
if the ac or heat just coming out from windshield, not coming out from driver or passenger side, is it problem with the actuator and have to replace it? thank you
There are two under the driver’s dash -the lower is for the driver blend door; upper right is for the mode selector- changes the flow of air from the different areas (for example from defrost to the dash vents or floor)
My 2017 Fusion blows hot on driver's side, AC blows cold on right, so I pulled driver's side upper actuator, BUT that acuator controls DEFROST, VENTS,& FLOOR. So now I need fiqure out which one turns off my heat on the left side. Summer is around the corner 😢. I think there is a dual climate control actuator behind middle console 🤔?
So I replaced my actuator on the driver's side but the only times the gear will spin is if I either put the temperature on max AC or max Heat. Even after inserting the actuator in place, my driver's side is still warm compared to the passenger side. Any insight what the problem might be?
Hello, Definitely not the news wanted to hear, it worked for me once I replaced an inserted the new one. I did have to adjust by turning on and off so the slots lined up but that was it.
late to the party here,,,,there are two actuators on the driver's side. One lower by the brake pedal arm and one up higher. Which one is which. my issue is the driver's side blows cold and the passenger side works normally.
Does this actuator control the door for temperature or the door for air distribution? Another youtuber said it's for the latter? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0SxvKtES6n0.html
