Does the Hyundai RTV have application instructions printed on it, like how long to wait after applying before installing, how wide the bead should be, or is that information contained in service data? I'll be doing this on our 2019 2.4L GDI. Thanks for the video!
how much is a job like this cost ? I did my wife's oil change on her 2013 santa fe 2.0t and I can see that half of the screws that hold the oil pan up are wet of oil. looks like a tough job to do on your back.
Once i put the pan back on i like to let it set as long as i can before putting oil in it. But it should be good in about a half hour to 45 minutes. Recall doesn't call for a filter but i would recommend replacing it anyway.
I found out that's a common problem. I never had a problem until my daughter decided she wanted to try and change the oil one day while I was at work. Apparently she either overtightened it putting the plug in or she was turning the wrong way trying to take it out. I'm going to sand it and try to patch it with JB Weld and see how long that will last. Right now I'm researching my options.
