Soy de Chile, tuve que conseguir los dos repuestos en -USA, seguí las instrucciones de este video y se soluciono el problema. La indicación de error del tablero desapareció y llevo alrededor de 500-km perfectamente.
Mine had that same service shifter, all i did was go in and pull from the clip that holds it on the bezel and gave it a little more slack and put it back in the clip and the fault went off almost as if it was pulling the wires to tight, I think I'm going to replace the whole harness anyway though
Once the steps are complete will the code automatically clear itself, if that was the issue causing the code? Or do I need to do something additional (or take it to an auto supply shop, etc) to clear the code? Thanks!
Will this process work to remove the service shifter display on a 2014 Trailhawk 3.2L for error codes U0103-00 and U1465-00? I do not have the error code P1C86-1D.
I had "Service Shifter" on my 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee for a year without any problems... Thought it was just a light bulb that burnt out since my Jeep was perfectly fine... My wife was driving to the store and called me to tell me the Jeep was bad... I went to look at it. The Jeep will turn over and start, the shifter physically shifts through all the gears and the dash shows that but the Jeep stays in neutral... Meaning engine revs, put vehicle wont move forward or reverse? Also when I hit the Start/Run button to shut down the engine the Jeep says "Can't because vehicle isn't in park" I had to pull a relay under the hood to kill the engine... Then I see that the dashboard and navigation display won't turn off until I disconnect the battery under the pass seat? Has it towed to Jeep dealer who's tellin me I need a new 1) Shifter 2) Transmission, 3) Motor Mounts 4) Battery!!! WTF! 8 thousand dollars??? 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee only 57K Miles! No sign of ANY transmission problems before this failure... Any thoughts anyone? They got me by the you know what at the moment...
How were you able to get your hand down in there far enough to remove and replace the wire? I have all the parts and was able to get to that step, but I stopped for fear that I'd never get the new wire plugged back in.
If I remember correctly, it was difficult. I think I was able to get enough fingers onto the wiring clip to unhook/hook, while pulling up on the molding with my right hand.
Hi I’m having an issue we’re vehicle says to shift vehicle into park and then select gear. Have to turn car off and then back on and is fine. Is this the same issue
