Lol they used to throttle the screens on purpose because the old heads thinks we can’t see the individual numbers going up. All the newer models like 2017+ read the exact speed like this.

It’s not far off. If you have the AWD 3.0 and do the $500 Livernois tune it beats 6.4 Dodges in the 1/4 mile. The tune turns these cars into animals. Theres a couple videos of a Continental with the Livernois tune smoking a scat pack Charger in the 1/4 mile. Still both fun awesome cars nonetheless!

armymatt83 the transmission is the only reason I'd never own one, who wants to pay a lot of money for a luxury car just to have the same 6 speed auto that's found in the cheaper Ford models? Not me. I'd rather just buy an Audi A4, plenty fast and had a way better transmission.

The ct6 is way bigger lol. This is same size as a cts. In which the comparable trim is the cts v sport which rapes this thing.

I have a Livernois tune on my Lincoln MKS ecoboost and LOVE it. I am replacing the MKS with a Continental 3.0 early next year and will need a tune for it!!!

Never drove the RS. I have driven a few MKZ 3.0's that are fully loaded and they do take off rather quickly. Maybe the dealership I work at will let me someday

There is a TON of tire spin and torque steer with the FWD version of the 3.0T. Its crazy. No wonder they had to detune it for the AWD version.

knightrider1545 you know i thought the same definitely fastest American fwd sedan to date times have definitely changed the v6 is becoming the new move of course i think we all would love to see a coyote v8 5.0 lincon sedan but nah not happening is there a naturally aspirated v6 with 350 hp and all wheel drive i bet that would sell the most ill take 50 less hp and a natural engine any day!

The Mustang is quicker then the MKZ.. it has more horsepower and the same torque while weighing less. It has a 0-60 of 4.3

Thanks! I used used 93 octane gas, put transmission in sport, brake boosted from a standstill and floored it :) I timed it from the digital speedometer manually and got 4.9 sec

Kevin bond Sure, but they don't have BMW cache. Plus, this is primarily a front-wheel drive car. Ford has proven it can make a rear-wheel drive car or at least one that is dominant rear wheel AWD system.

David Stancu the g37 autos have crazy gearing, but are only 3600pounds. Its the Torque of THIS car that will help keep it along side the Infiniti ( I own a fully loaded 2008 g37s coupe 6 speed )

Car and driver got sent the car with MIchelin Pilot Super cup tires. 4.8 seconds. That's wicked quick for such a heavy car. Really good job tuning and keeping the power down LINCOLN.

I have a Focus with the same gear ratio. 2nd gear is better for when you're turning into a road and acceleration up a hill. I had a Camry, and 1st gear was too much and 2nd wasn't enough when pulling up a hill. My Focus has it down perfectly. I do agree with you though that they do need an 8 or even 9 speed in their luxury brand.

You should let Car and Driver, Motortrend, and Edmunds know they don't know WTF they are doing. They all got the same 0-60.

You're leaving something out the MKZ Loaded $60k starts from MSRP: From $35,170 the Q50 RS400 From $48,700

Once you add options (and there is only 2-3 packages) on the Q50, it is ~$2000 less than a fully kitted out MKZ. Play around with the online configurator; keep in mind I live in Canada so that may be slightly different.

Not to mention the 3.0T MKZ you can get mid $40K range. What other car is in the LUXURY SEGMENT that gives you 400HP from $42K and up? Who cares about auto braking and lane keeping? Didn't we have to pass a driving test to get our licenses? Those features add another $3000. So do the silly adaptive LED Headlamps and 19 Speaker Revel Surround system. That's about $8000 nobody cares about and a small amount of MKZ's are sold with that crap. ANYONE out there who wants serious power and plenty features get the Select or Reserve Packages only in AWD and skip the extra stuff. GREAT VALUE.

MrEpic6060 Indeed...tell me if you actually find a MKZ on the lot without those option boxes checked. That's how they always get you, and ordering from factory incurs extra cost...which ends up being very close to how they are loaded.

Trades46 Handles poorly? Maybe in comparison to a Miata, but it handles well for its class.

I own one and yes it does 4.8-4.9 all day. Dude probably didnt floor it.
