I have these in my Z and in my experience, they work great until outside temps reach above 80 degrees. It’s literally pulling hot air from the engine bay and when it’s hot out, it tends to lag when accelerating in first. I recommend getting long tube intakes or keeping the stock intakes.
@@paramount1964 i have the stillen gen 3 ultra long tube. But i have 370gt coupe g37 coupe the grille in the g37 is direct opening in front for the filters. The 370z have a diffrent bumper and opening in front i think the g37 style opening grill works better thats why i feel the power because it never heat soak
I'm getting a Stillen extra long tube Gen 3 CAI, along with a Fast Intentions X-pipe CBE plus a dyno tune for my 2019 370Z 6MT sport coupe. My hope is to exceed 310 rwhp on the dyno.
@@LeonZedd If I could I would have liked to get equal length long-tube headers for the car, but in California we're limited to cat back modifications only. Even so, the company shows about a 6% increase in rw torque across the rev range with the pipes. Because the engine is so highly developed and efficient, there's little that can be gained short of forced induction or a displacement increase.
Love this video, nice quality and view! its just missing some details about replacing parts that are needed based on guide... but the dog is the best part of this video. :)
I had problem with my dad's 370z 2018... In the passenger side there's not enough space for the hose and We don't know why... There's no problem with pilot side but the passenger side it doesn't fit.
Alejandro, we did have to cut the hoses to length, and it did take more than one try. Just keep at it until it looks and fits right. Mine haven't moved since the original install and seem to be working great! Mine is a 2017. Don't know if that matters for fit or not.
@@paramount1964 We'll keep trying... Because with my dad the space between the valve to the K&N tube is not 7 inches... So in the video We saw that They Cut a really small hose.
@@JGMACHINES I’m not bashing on you. You don’t put short ram intake on a Z. Your shield around the cone doesn’t do anything. You are sucking in HOT air when hood is closed. The thing is you’re losing power instead of gaining, and if your buddy says he can feel a difference he doesn’t know his ass from his elbow. May sound a LITTLE better but that’s all. Only ricers put these short ram intakes on for the look factor. It’s obvious you didn’t do your research on intakes. So let me give a hint. You want to draw in air outside of the car, not hot engine air. You’re better off putting the original air boxes back on and dropping in K&N air filters. This is basic knowledge guys c’mon. Even better have the car dynoed, you will see you wasted your money and time. Sorry pal but JGMACHINES doesn’t have a clue what’s going on here.
@@highvolts6620 if you would have commented a little like this in the first place. you would have gotten a better response. he's having fun with his car and learning. if you would have read the comments before blurting out insults you would see they are already talking about long runners. but thanks for the input Richard.
I was told by a guy online who tunes 370's and Infinitys that the stock intakes provide more hp, but I can't say for sure without a tune before and after. I like them and they look great too! What's your ride?
