"It is the throwers responsibility, if someone is talking, or moving within your vision, to wait or ask them to stop. If the thrower does not wait or speak up, he has no right no complain." It's in the rule book, look it up

Nice touch putting the slo-mo just before the score card between holes. Someone is choosing some really good throws to highlight what has just happened. Great work. Much appreciation to your quick editing and posting of this Worlds tournament. Something I'd like to see is all nine holes scoring after each hole. There's room for it and it would just be super to see a player's progress through their round.

Maybe instead of getting angry about people moving in the background....maybe try to educate the gallery. Bet they have no clue about being a "distraction" . be mad at tournament director if anyone, it's their job to control the gallery no?

So Mcbeth goes ob on his drive on twelve, gets a three p and doesn't go the drop zone? Shitty deal for Devin who played it correctly
@jptDrEaMeR
@jptDrEaMeR 7 лет назад
i thought the rules were that if you hit safe, then go ob you play where it went out, but if you dont hit anything and go ob, its drop zone. So did D.O. play it wrong?
@jebwatson

Devon didn't make it in bounds, paul did. I don't know what you mean by "played it correctly."

Matt Talbot you could take it where you went out or the drop zone. I played the event, they just misspoke.

Soooo, Ricky putt on 14.....was that a penalty or not? Also what is the outcome if the players say it's a issue? Penalty stroke? Or reshot? Thx

Lessthan450 its up to the group to call it..they didnt..so they moved on. They couldve made him reputt it from 12ft..but didnt bother with it
@alightened
@alightened 7 лет назад
players decided not to make him replay the shot. technically they could have had him re-shoot with no penalty because of a fault. no penalty can be assessed (to my knowledge) from a falling putt. since they all said it was fine because they knew the log made him slip not his putt, the just let it go. Any fault is decided by the players so if for example ricky slipped and he had missed the shot, they could choose whether he had to keep his initial shot or if he could re-throw.
@moif
@moif 7 лет назад
Lessthan450 - I believe if it was called, it would have been a rethrow/warning. If it happens again it could result in a penalty. Same with throwing foot faults. I think it was so late in the round no one cared to call it. Now if Rick had done it again by mistake the next hole, there may have been some drama - since there was no official call, but you know. Anyone correct me if I missed something.
@richardsilver1591
@richardsilver1591 7 лет назад
Holy shit. If anyone is going to be called for a foot fault, it's Johnny McCray. Jump putt after jump putt foot fault. I'm not a huge Ricky fan, but I still acknowledge that he's the BEST putter in DG today. Johnny is a great disc golfer, but he's faulting a lot on those jump putts.
@alightened
@alightened 7 лет назад
I think you're right. At the professional level the amount of putt faulting is insanely rare and obviously never done on purpose. The guy is number 1 in the world. If anything, they probably gave him a hard time for falling lol

in every sport there are always times were an athlete shows up and just kicks the bar so hard and so far above the rest it seems like no one will ever get close. But give it some time Ricky's dominance will give birth to a much better, tougher, disciplined, and focused player. He will cause the field to improve, as they realize what it is now going to take to hang with the best. The cream will rise to the top and i am looking forward to that, give it a year or 2 and there will be a handful of guys that are in the chase. McBeth did the same thing and players finally had to step up and improve if they wanted to compete... granted the margins were smaller but this sport is going to be even better. Look how many courses are being streched out and modified because ahots that were once considered only 2,3,4 hundred feet now being smashed by most pro players.... there are 900 foot holes! par 4. His play and what follows from the other pros will be what gets this sport televised and keep pushing it away from it being just a bunch of stoners, and "dudes" throwing frisbees in the woods.

Interesting D.O. wasn't called on 17 for throwing his previous lie disc after he made his putt. I've been warned on a c-tier event by someone in my group. Also with Ricky's foot fault. Yeah, everyone there knows he would make it again. If it happened again though could of came into play. I think top tier should set the example. Everything trickles down hill. All the way down to no name events where players might get more loose with rules seeing how pros play it. All n all great coverage of a great world's. Thanks for sharing.

For the little toss into the basket? Koling was mentioning that on other rounds with DO on the card... He doesn't like the "extra tap in" with the other disc. Is it actually a rule to not do this? Or is it considered an official "throw of the disc" after the putt is made?
@TAStormChasing
@TAStormChasing 7 лет назад
Kyle Weir The guy in my group at a c tier event called it a practice throw. I made my putt, then picked up my prior lie disc a tossed it in while walking up. Seemed like D.O. did the same thing.
@MegaFlorest
@MegaFlorest 7 лет назад
It's not a practice throw if it's under 2 meters. Owen's can drop his other disc in the basket all he likes to the chagrin of Koling. Agreed with the foot fault call. I'd hate to be the one to call it, but I still would. Without rules we'd all be throwing Aerobie Pro's.

I mean Ricky deserves this because of how he's played, but I'm frankly getting tired of seeing him on a card. The game just gets boring, because you just know he's going to win. Even whenever Paul had his crazy winning streak it was more exciting because there were more players challenging him- you saw people like Schusterick, Leiviska, and Nikko really competing. I don't know... I'm just grateful for the people at CCDG and Jomez who provide us with this world class footage of a beautiful sport! Wish Sexton luck with his new baby, too!

It's how robotic he is and does doesn't have a lot of emotion or personality on the course; no surprises to his game like Simon or Eagle. he's just so focused and disciplined. Everything's routine. Great player.

Great player, super boring to watch win. Watching McBeth in his prime was always fun because he was taking risks and throwing big shots. Rick will throw big shots when its required, but aside from his putting, he never does anything exciting.

He can't call it on himself, that rule was changed...he looked at the others as if he was waiting for them to call it. As it would've been a redo with just a warning (no previous infraction in the round) I think they let it slide as Ricky would have made it again.

Boring World Championship course. Short holes, very wooded. Needs to resemble a golf course more. More wide open holes, par 5, hazards or bunkers. There is little to no advantage on this course for the top 5 longest throwers in the world. For players like Wysocki or McBeth, they can throw far. But they can`t throw as far as David Wiggins, Eagle or Simon. There should atleast be some disadvantage for them for not being able to throw as far, this is the World Championship. There should be disadvantages for every lack in your game, if it`s because you can`t throw forehand, rollers, far, short, straight. Everything should be there. These 300 par feet holes which even i can park with abit of luck is pretty boring to watch compared to other courses.

Stokkeland23 You're joking right? Golf courses are boring as fuck to watch. Same boring hyzer bomb shot 18 holes in row. Fuck golf courses
@PapiChullo
@PapiChullo 7 лет назад
I think Ricky and Paul can throw a lot further than you're giving them credit for. Strictly distance isn't a good metric. These courses seem to test a multitude of different shots vs just big hyzer bombs. Simon and eagle have played well but end of the day Ricky is hitting the putts that they aren't quite getting. Adding long wide open holes won't change that.
@harry53172
@harry53172 7 лет назад
Your missing the point, golf courses don't require as much accuracy. It's about distance and being able to hit a line in the woods. These courses punish you for bad shots, not so much on the golf courses. Personally I find it boring to watch hyzer bomb after hyzer bomb. Disc golf has it's roots in the woods.
