I took a brand new 2017 Porsche Cayenne offroading/mudding to see if it was more than just a soccer mom SUV. Turns out the base Cayenne is actually a ton of fun offroad!

That hill climb failure was due to you not knowing how to drive the Cayenne and use it’s diff locks which you didn’t even show how to operate at the start of your off road journey. Tons of RU-vid videos out there showing it’s capacity and that hill is a walk over the Cayenne. I know cause I live in Africa and drive the hell out of one on our rough terrains.

This guy makes reminds me of my girlfriend driving down a dirt road. No 4x4 no air lift. I have a gts that easily climbs that first hill. Once raise your at same clearance as a wrangler. The body stabilizers in cooperation with air with allow you to park on a steep angle and adjust itself the cabin level. Its sick.

Have you ever had off road training because you don’t know how to drive off road. That Cayenne would go right up that first hill. Update Dec 2023. Bought a low mileage used 2017 S. While these are not rock crawlers, Cayenne will handily tackle dirt roads and easy trails. Your brain is the most important tool when going off road.

IKR? Lifting the ride height to the same as a Jeep would probably have helped... clearly this guy has never been off the lawn before in his life.

I have this car. Air suspension is an option. It does have locking diffs. Didn't try offroad settings?

@@thomassss88 i agree.. this dude a soccer mom indeed. cant wait to get my hands on the 2019 Cayenne turbo S. gotta install the M/T and snorkel first thou i wanna go off road to the secluded durians orchards throughout Malaysia in hunt of the most delicious durians varieties that this country has to offer. when i say secluded, i mean thats jeep territory.

Very sure the Cayenne CAN climb that small hill. Even a Mercedes S-Class can! Driver was a soccer mom.

Please when saying "off road" test, go somewhere where 2WD can't go. If you can't, just say "test drive"

If it is a Porsche? Well the VW Touareg and the Cayenne have the same platform and are assembled in the same plant outside of Germany, so partly a 'true' vehicle from Zuffenhausen ;)
