Hi Cigz, I spent an entire morning and afternoon, researching android boxes. I came across your videos and just wanted to say thank you for the work you put into reviews. I have the amazon firestick (1st gen) and am finally giving up on the weakness of its capabilities. Constant buffering, stuttering and ineffective viewing have made me look into the android boxes. I was able to purchase the zidoo h6, online from Best Buy, here in Ontario, Canada. It even has the qwerty keyboard. I paid $158.00 Canadian. I feel I definitely got a good deal. Very much looking forward to the upgrade and hoping no more of the problems I experienced with the amazon fire stick.

You are correct about this box I have one . Had it when I didn't know much about these boxes and what I find was that it was smooth and nice to navigate . I thought it was another fancy cheap box but seeing how upscale it looked I took a further look at it and notice the specs were top of the line . I love it and will keep it . I usually test these boxes then sell them but this one I kept . It is the only box I've seen with this CPU and one of the few with DDR4 RAM

I noticed you mentioned you could increase the storage with the card slot could you use the USB 3.0 with a larger flash drive say up to 128 gb. By the way I just today discovered your videos and I have to say they are by far the most informative from any I have viewed so far. Keep up the good work.

I've been following your channel because I'm looking for a box as my old MXIII can no longer support H265 10 bit encodes and I'm planning to get this just for movies. I know that the lower end s905x can play basic 4k hevc 10 bit videos. So I would like to suggest that you use the different bitrate jellyfish videos for 10-bit 4k (starting from 140Mbps 4k HEVC 10bit) to rank playback capability because some boxes starts to stutter at 140Mbps upwards while this box can easily play the 400Mbps 10 bit 4k HEVC. I think it's nice way to compare the max capability of the different boxes even having the same SOC. For example, The beelink GS1 with the Same Allwinner H6 struggles to play the 400Mbps 4k 10bit HEVC Jellyfish video while this box has no problems playing it. It's a great help for some users like me who judge only thru the capability of playing the higher bit rate files. It helps to justify the reason of buying a more expensive box with an Allwinner H6 against a cheaper s905x. Thank you very much!! subbed!

Seamless install plug and play. Replaced H96 Pro+ found it to be superior in every way and I thought the H96 was good. Zidoo have done great job on the U.I., 2gig DDR4 more than enough. As good if not better that the 3gig DDR3 I had on the H96 just formated a 32gig sd card as internal storage so plenty of room there. Hasn't got the over heating issues I had with the H96, Wifi speeds better than the H96. Me likey

Hmmm gonna have to see if I can get this unit on the other “side of the pond” here chigz....I recently bought a Shield Pro and I love it ! But, besides the media room in our basement, we have another screen on the main floor that will also need something to stream to. And this unit seems worthy of snapping up....that is...if we can buy it over here in Canada 👍 Thanks for the great review man, keep up the good work 👍

You didn't cover the DRM Support for this box. I am looking for a box that is capable of playing Prime Video (but NOT a FireTV box) but the new versions of Prime Video seem to crash without Widevine support. Does this box support it? It would be awesome if you could add a column to your chart that indicated Widevine support level (N, 1, 3, etc.). Thanks for all your work, it definitely makes buying the right device easier.

I keep coming back to this video I love this box but I've had a bad run with boxes this year, no more S912's for me (that's why I keep coming back here) my old S905 QBox still keeps plodding on though while I wait for the new Fire TV Cube. Thank you for your reviews. I've found them very informative. Unfortunately, I bought the Zidoo H6 Pro based on your review and I've found it to be pretty buggy. Even with a firmware update, the google play store does not work, and netflix begins every show muted, and you have to unmute at the beginning of every new show. I've found the launcher interface to be quite poor, and barely customizable. I would not recommend this box to someone.

Hi Chigz, Trying to learn the H6 and am having difficulty with mirroring my samsung android phone. The H6 has Happy Cast to mirror, but I cannot get that App for my phone from Google play store. I have gone online and found the APK for my phone, but its in Chinese. What I guess I am asking is if I can download another mirror App for both my phone and the H6 and just use those to mirror? Any suggestions is appreciated. By the way, I am in Ontario, Canada.

Thanks for the great video! I'm investigating using a TV box such as this one instead of a mini-PC and connecting a stack of hard drives to it. Would it be possible to connect 3 x 3TB hardrives to this as it has 3 USB ports. I'm assuming that it would only recognise drives up to 3TB ea? Do you know what the maximum harddrive size you could connect to it would be?
