For 2017, Toyota updated the Corolla and made the safety sense standard on all trims. It's called TSS-P and includes Dynamic Radar Crusie Crontrol, Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Dectection, Lane Departure Warning and Automatic High Beams
Um.... the poster's concept of a 'car length' is wildly off. Otherwise he seems to do a reasonable job of explaining the features. (I've been driving a similar 2017 Corolla the last year.) P.S. I sure wish more people had his exaggerated idea of the length of a car... Maybe there wouldn't be so many gosh darn tailgaters risking everyone else's lives. That confusion is why the 'three second rule' is probably easier for many folks to adhere to. P.P.S. In my experience, the radar can drop its guard a bit and end up with some fairly accept deceleration that's why I leave the radar cushion set to the 'three car icon setting.' P.P.P.S. I think it's a nice car very well engineered and I really like the CVT transmission now that I understand what it's doing, but, my gosh, the manual is so incomplete. Look at all the people posting in this thread who own the car, but who weren't even aware of some of these features. I went looking for explanations for some of this stuff in the manual and by and large it just wasn't there.
I see in prius acc can stop car and you tap gas or resume button and car continue driving is this same on corolla. Can you make video of this system in traffic jam and also lane keep assist in traffic jam.
