I think you all are missing the Burns magic. I love that guy. Funny, understated, and not a typical industry nut-hugger. As experienced as almost anyone in the industry and let's his retro-grouch shine.

Been a fan of his written work since the 90's. Also; he has never bothered me on camera, but clearly that's not what he was hired for. He is a writer. That's how anyone over the age of 30 probably got their start in this industry. Burns is gonna tell you the important aspects of a bike with very few wasted words. Guess maybe that means more in print that on video to some, but his style works well enough for me.

I see a lot of chaffing in the comments but like a good cigar, the real enjoyment of the Burns drollery is in the not inhaling. We are left with just the fine machines themselves described without any faux urgency. If one wants the opposite approach with a nuanced Teutonic review, have a look at the mystic Zonko with his pipe on 1000PS. Myself I like both styles :)

I know at sometime every job becomes work but it is also said that if you love what you do , you will never work a day in your life. That said, This was a fairly spoiled, uninspiring review. Poor baby, have to go to Spain to ride the newest bikes. That said, I love what Triumph is doing. So many well thought out, quality bikes. It is too bad they all are so heavy though. I know I wont be trading in my old '70 Tiger 650 for one but maybe some day I might add one of them.

The most interesting Scrambler rigth now is the Benelli Leoncino, it's ligth and has decent torque and HP

I was pissed Triumph did not show up to the NYC auto show this year. But with 54Hp and 59 torque, I don't think I missed much here. The sweet spot for a street bike is 100hp and 80-90lb torque. Never get bored of that....

But that means it's probably making peak power at like 6000-6500rpm, and would require a 1.2L+ sized motor

I never comment on videos but this guy is just a terrible on camera. I'm sure he's a great guy with tons of moto knowledge but there's just no entertainment value to him. He's not charming, he sounds like he hates his job, and he's certainly not doing the product any favors. You guys gotta find someone with some charisma and someone who takes time to research the products he's reviewing.

The Bobber actually uses the Hi Torque (not Hi Power) 1200cc engine and makes just shy of 80 hp / 80 torques.

Neat looking bike. Hopefully they worked on reliability? 2015 stats showed a 29% reliability failure rate.

Where on earth did they find this guy? Was it supposed to be ironic?, sarcastic?, mocking another moto journo? If so it completely missed the mark. Utter crap!!! And a thumbs down from me. If I were the M.D. of Triumph I would not be happy about this so called "review" and I wouldn't be inviting Motorcycle.com on another launch.
