Paris Pearson, injuries sminjuries. Every NFL team has backups. 2x losses to Philly/Dallas, Doctson TD drop against K.C., Minnesota drops 38 against us, can't close games or win our division we don't deserve playoffs.

By the end of the regular season, we literally had 20 players on injured reserve. Jonathan Allen, our first draft pick was out for the season and only played 5 games! Our backups were getting injured and then we had to rush to fill in the gaps with players that barely got to practice thoroughly with the team. We were so destined to be great this season! Better luck next year.

Redskin won their superbowls with veteran QB's Joe Theismann, Mark Rypien, Doug Williams. Whats most important is they need to really focus on OFFENSIVE & DEFENSIVE LINE. Thiesmann was only sacked like 7x the whole season with the HOGS he had all day to throw DEEP so did Mark and Williams. The fact that Alex Smith had only 5 ints, made the pro bowl, gonna be 75% cheaper then kirk and a proven winner 60% of games. The redskins don't have to worry for the next 4yrs and can upgrade their offense and defense line with the extra money.

As a long time fan I feel they should have done whatever it took to keep Kirk. But I am very optimistic about Alex Smith and this offense I think it will be explosive and very successful in the red zone with Guice and Reed. He defense took a huge hit with the loss of Fuller but with a revamped and healthy defensive line we can still be great

I mean you were right. Alex Smith did do really good and we were looking like a playoff team but he got hurt and everything went downhill from there

Watching this really makes me wonder why we couldn't have gave up someone else rather than Fuller, dudes going to be special and we just gave him away for a short term fix. Should have tried to peddle Breeland or just about anyone else, but what is done is done. Andy Reid seems to screw us everytime. If we get 3 good yrs of Smith maybe I won't feel as bad.

IMO, I believe are new era will be similiar except we'll be on the opposite POSITIVE side: 9-7/10-6, explosive POINT SCORING offense, much better defense. #RAISEHAIL #HTTC #HTTR

We could've gone to the playoffs. Reed, Thomposn, and the line being healthy would've been enough.

bmr0289 it's not about sure thing. It's about having a well built team BEFORE you spend 1/3 of the team's money on an average q.v.. Kirk ain't takin us to a super bowl as currently constructed
