Great video!!!! Just bought an ATAK 120 from Brian at your place. He was awesome. Thanks for your help with the transaction. Can't wait to get it!! Thanks guys!
Having trouble deciding between the ATAK 120 and the Cuda HD. Mainly going to be fishing small to mid size lakes. Not a big guy. I haven't been able to test any one of them, but I'm hoping you might have? Do you have a preference between the two?
Paul Santiago Paul, Havent had a chance to paddle them both yet in this cold weather but guys at the shop love the Cuda HD. We also sell more CUda HD if that helps.
Very good review, thanks! I'm curious if you can find out the following: Why is the capacity of the ATAK 120 rated at 400 lbs. while the Radar 115 which is shorter by 7", a bit less or the same width and a bit less deep, slated to be 450 lbs.? They apparently have very similar hull designs, too. It would seem to me that the Radar 115 would have less capacity, certainly not more. Maybe the factory can give you an answer. Brad
Brad, Received this response from Wildy.. "The Radar has way more volume (due to large deck height) than the ATAK. The ATAK 120 deck height is similar to the ATAK 140 and the overall boat volume is smaller."
Well . . . the Radar 115 is shown to have a deck height of 15", one inch LESS than the ATAK 120 which, at 16", is higher than the bigger ATAK 140. So, the two vessels (ATAK 120 and Radar 115) are essentially the same width, one is 7" longer and 1" higher, they appear to have the same or similar hull designs, claim to anyway. This is one of those mysteries we'll just have to wait and see how it works out on the water in actual reviews like yours. There were similar inconsistencies in the Native Propel 10 and 13 where many retail sources and reviews claimed (or repeated) 500 lbs. load capacities for each vessel. The factory didn't seem to correct the misinformation; but, they have both vessels at around 400 lbs. officially. I still can't image how a 10 foot boat only 1" wider than its 3 foot longer big brother . . . could possibly have the same load capacity. Just a guess that most manufacturers are pretty "loose" making these calcs. I look forward to your review of the Radars! Brad
