I got the Yoshimura R-77 on my MT-09. Sounds brutal, even with the baffle in I need to use ear plugs to stay comfortable on a longer run. Then again, it's a racing exhaust and not really approved for road use where I live. Definitely turns a lot of heads if you give it a little rev at the city! Also got the ECU flashed. 121 hp and 64 ft lb at the rear wheel, stock was 114 hp and 58 ft lbs. The power difference isn't much but throttle smoothness definitely improved by a mile, wheelies easier than before. Mind you my MT-09 is a 2014 model so bone stock the throttle response is pretty touchy. I guess you can relate as an ex-owner of the older version.

Your FZ tweaks always look good! With all of the black and or dark color on the lower half of the bike (not including the front fender), it makes sense to have black or dark color rearsets! The current color of the rearsets makes them stand out like a sore thumb. I can relate to Yamaha attempting to go "big bang for low bucks". . . .but damn, Yamaha needs to get with the "black / dark rearset program!" lol

r6realtor ...Yea i totally agree, There definitely isnt as much padding but, the contour of the seat seems to be more supportive in the position where you actually would be sitting. So im assuming having that added surface area would provide less hot spots and more overall comfort. Just my 2 cents. lol. Cant tell you from experience but, reviews seem to say the same. The comfort seat was just a bit too wide for me personally towards the front when seated on a friends fz09. Other than that its super comfy! wish they had slimmed out the front a tad more. oh well. Pros and cons to them all i guess. 😂

yeah see funny you say that because honestly that's where i need the padding the most is up front so much more supportive when you have something that helps hold you up there, killing my ass right now lol. It's crazy its been than the old seat but still sucks!

r6realtor haha. See, everyone is different. so maybe that comfort seat is your golden ticket! Ive heard good things about it and like i said, its just a bit too wide for me up front. Im just under 5'10" and have a tall upper torso compared to my lower half so as is with the stock seat, i can just barely flat foot the bike. Trial and error man. Lol

Oh and aesthetically, the bike is pretty much perfectly balanced imho but...Future mod recommendations, Some stainless braided brake lines and ebc brake pads make for a really good upgrade in stopping power and brake feel! Plus the stainless lines look real nice. There have been a few bikes I’ve modded in the past that I said were “almost done” and yeah, that was never the case. I was always inspired to do more. Lol.

When you take the rear-sets off to powder coat them, take the rear fender off & junk it, fit a tail tidy.

I appreciate that! to be honest I hate the look of the big bar coming off the swing arm from the left(clutch) side but when it's on the kickstand and your looking at it from the back or the right side(throttle side) the plate just looks like its floating behind the tire, I actually just made another vid on how to do it because I had so many direct messages on my instagram account on how to do. if you don't like it now you should have seen the stock one! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VsLknIHYdkA.html

Yes the stock one is as bad as the witches finger plate holder on all the other Mt range. I’m waiting for the Tracer 900 GT to arrive, already ordering the parts to change. Question, are you happy with your exhaust? I’m looking at Yoshimura, Arrow, or Black Widow.

I love the exhaust like I said its my 3rd one now on my 3rd fz09, it's probably hard to tell in the vid but it has beefy tone down low yet exotic pitch to it once you get in the higher rpm range, I really like it and so do my buddies that hear it in person. I think the biggest thing for me was the looks without even hearing it,the headers hug that motor really well like a knuckle and makes it look really sharp!

Luie Ramírez wiring itself was super easy, it was just finding a way to mount them was the pain in the ass, you just have to get creative. Another guy just asked me about wiring them i didnt realize that wasn't you, ive had like 6 emails in past 2 days on wiring the blinkers coincidently lol

r6realtor Sounds like you need to google some other powder coaters in your area. Powdercoating rates are usually done by the size of the object, unless you want some crazy colors, then alittle more for that. But, something as small as rearsears should be the minimum or starting fee for that job. And quick too. 30 to 45 is ridiculous, most pc companies will squeeze in the small jobs.

THat's a tough question because it really depends on the person, one of my first real bikes was a ducati hypermotard 821(almost exact power/tq to the fz09) and I did just fine on it, however I would consider myself an extremely responsible/mature rider I respected the bike and knew it could really hurt me. If you know your going to be crazy on it and act like a nut you should not buy this bike for a first bike you will just end up hurting yourself or worse but if you can respect its power and use it in it's lower modes until you get used to it then I would say you will do just fine.

My first bike was a 2015 FZ-09 and I did just fine with it. It really depends on your maturity level. The bike isn't very forgiving for being heavy-handed in turns or coming out of turns. The factory suspension doesn't inspire a ton of confidence either. I can say that I've scared myself a couple times getting on it too much coming out of a turn and the front wheel popping up. Now I do it on purpose lol. If your respect the torque and ride smart you can ride any bike. I would also highly recommend a riders safety course.

They do but pretty much come down in the same arrangement as the stock headers and it has that big ugly loop under it before it comes out at the bottom, just my opinion but i don't think they look near as good. Then If you go with the titanium yoshi the headers come down like a back wards L and I definitely don't like the look of that one.

someone else already suggested that and told them my powder coater is 30-45 days out with me bothering him every other day so who knows how long it would actually take him! lol

well if you ask my wife it's because I have a serious problem but I just like to try out new bikes or even the old bikes that I have had like 3 times lol.

1700 miles and literally leaving now to go get the ecu tuned, also have all new black protaper Carmichael bars on it and new spider grips, pyramid plastic rear cowl just came in going to get it painted or wrapped not sure yet. All updated pics on my Instagram (@r6realtor1) I post a pic just about everyday of it.

Not at all, the problem is I have a ton of money into the bike and can't replace it or a bike like it near this nice for that much, right now I can't even think of a better bike i'd rather have either?? so I'm just not sure?? where are you located even?
