From 16 to 17 they changed a lot motor wise. Made it more like a 2 stroke style powerband. Here's some differences: It gets stronger heat-treated engine cases. The transmission output shaft has been made thicker The 2017 cylinder head is not a ported 2016 head. It is a totally new casting that has been designed to get more fuel into the combustion chamber at a swifter “acceleration rate.” The rubber air boot’s velocity stack is shortened by 15mm The intake cam has its lift increased by 0.1mm Also stuff with the exhaust giving it more top end power, along with chassis stiffness, motor mounts, and pegs. Anthony Bova thanks for the info I knew that there where a lot of things with the engine but couldn't remember them and I'm pretty sure it makes 41 hp which to me that's a lot considering some of the 450's have only 10 more hp than the 250f. I'm excited to ride it and give my opinion about it. Thanks for watching and providing some specs about the bike.

ya my 2015 kx250f & 2015 crf250r are plenty of bike. just sold my 2015 crf 450r today

02SubaruWRX those 450,s have some power to em. I had a 2016 rmz450 but traded it for my 2014 yz250. I really liked the 450 but I enjoy riding the 2 stroke a lot more and puts me in a really good mood when I ride the 2 stroke 💨

the white version with black wheels is way sicker. but nice bike. those yami's have great suspension. the 2017 husqvarna fc250 would be my #1 choice followed by 17 kx250f

02SubaruWRX they had the white but I like the blue a bit more, my friend had a white 2014 yz250f with snow camo graphics which I thought was bad ass. I could always get white plastics if I change my mind too

The only thing that REALLY bugs me more than anything is no gas cap. Like wouldnt having to remove plastics and crap take longer in a race than to just unscrew a gas cap in 3 turns?

HybridEdits the only thing that it would be bad for is for harescrambles because you would have to take off the top then unscrew it which would waste some time but other than that I don't mind it at all and it is surprisingly really good on gas, it's like a Prius when it comes to gas consumption.

Is being 5’5 gonna be an issue wit this bike? I was thinking bout going with some lowering links

You could always mess with the sag to get the back end to squat a bit more but lowering links might be better for the suspension mainly because your sag wouldn’t be way off and the suspension would work better.

Should fill it up to at least half way up the oil check window or a little more than that and you should be good. Also you can look at the manual as well to find the exact amount.

Enrico de DIOS I would say this is a great beginner bike, it’s very dependable and it’s all around good at everything like cornering and power wise and it’s very fast, also has great suspension right from the dealer. I definitely recommend it. It’s always hard to say what bike is best for you because everyone is different. Hope that helps.

Sean Smith That’s awesome man thanks for a quick reply. I went to the dealer today I sat on it it feels right I mean geometry wise. The guy told its perfect for a beginner just need to respect the power. I did a lot of research about the bike and reviews it seems pretty good so I guess Im getting one sooner 😁

Sxf Wilson I think the 17 yz250f won the shootout and it has "the best suspension out of the box" which I agree with but I think the Ktm was right behind it. They are both really good bikes just depends on weather you want to kickstart your bike or push a button to start it, haha
