38K followers. 2 years later you have 130K followers. John, the quality of your work speaks for it all. It is things that I don't see everyday that I enjoy about your channel. It's the things you share, the education about the trucking business and mechanics you provide. With the Grace of God, you continue to do this everyday. Thank you!
Ive done this job since 95 and changing tires isnt so bad.Just do it right and safely...one thing I didnt see on that truck was a tire cage to air the tires up in.I dont worry about new steers like I do the recaps.A tire can kill or hurt you bad airing it up to 110 psi.Good video..Keep on trucking.
That tire guy sold me when he brought out the torque wrench. That is the way to get em tight so the dirt isn't holding them on. You found a good tire outfit with nice first class equipment.
Chicago Pneumatic Tools I used to work for here in Aberdeen Scotland, making all kinds of air wrenches and air guns so when you picked his one up and looked at it, wow did it bring back memories as we used to pack them babies 200 per pallet. Cheers John.
Tire man is a classy dude, he uses a torque wrench and a safety Jack stand. So much for the truck driver doing his daily walk around according to your CDL regulations. You didn’t know you had all those loose lug nuts.
I have been watching your videos for the last 2 years and with watching them you really have expired me of going to get my AZ I actually go for my AZ in a couple of weeks up here in Canada

Awesome video JBG. It's a good thing you noticed the flat tire before you got on the highway and something bad happened I watch your videos everyday big fan
I do this same job, future advice, next time drop the trailer, I personally won’t even touch a tractor tire unless they disconnect for me when I ask. That can be a lot of weight on the jack. Secondly, we don’t like when drivers watch our every movement, and especially touch our stuff like you just freely helped yourself to.
Yeah this guy is legit. One time I needed a tire changed and the guy showed up with his hands basically. Took 2 hours. I still tipped him a 20 I was on the clock I didn't mind 😂
Cowboy fitter. Finds loose wheel nuts and doesn't even so much as look at a wire brush to clean the mating surfaces to prevent the nuts coming loose again
if this happens to you in germany (with a car) they cant fix it on the road. a towing car has to come to bring you to a tire shop or mecanic.hes doing it on a truck :) amazing job
This dude did a nice quick job (… but he's been doing it for 10 years so no surprise he did a nice quick job...) Gotta be a BEAR in the winter with a parking lot full of snow.
I would've asked him to check all the other lugs before he put the torque wrench away, but maybe you did after you stopped the clip. I drove around with a busted wheel stud on my Mack and didn't know it for Lord knows how long. Peace.
Guys who hardly do any physical work are the one's who get sore backs later in life. This guy's back will be fine as long as he moves properly. Works smart. Eats right & gets 7-8 hrs rest/sleep to re coop. He has his. 10 yrs in on the job so I guess he gets the day shift. Starting out guys get the night shift. Imagine changing tires in minus 25 or heavy rains or at night.
+Juan Pineda changing tires "fast" is for NASCAR. if given the choice i'd take having it done correct and methodical over FAST and wondering if he did it right.
From 14:25 The camerawoman is so much in control that after getting an extension it gets really exciting when not only the truck and fitter but whole earth moves under her (I am talking about the lorry!)
Great video of a professional at work. Thanks for zooming in on the tools. Would have liked to have had a close up of the torque wrench. Would have liked to have seen all the other lug nuts on all wheel sets on the tractor and trailer checked. You guys take on a lot of risk and responsibility for what you’re paid. Much respect!
At my first job at Hughes Aircraft in LA we had a delivery of test equipment in cabinets, about 1000 pounds each. While the truck was backing up to the loading dock I heard some unusual creaking from the back wheel. Then I noticed there were several nuts missing and the wheel was cracked about 1/3 the way around. A few more miles on the freeway and the wheel would have collapsed, possibly causing a major accident on the freeway. After unloading the driver came into the office and called his dispatcher for assistance and got it fixed. That was on Halloween of 1972, we delivered the equipment to the Navy on April Fool's day of 1974. True story.
I grew up in my Dad's tire shop. That old boy has done that almost as many times as I have. I notice you didn't show him seating the bead. Was lighter fluid involved? I kid! I kid.
