What exactly were you expecting? These "Cold air" intakes don't offer any performance benefits whatsoever. These things are 100% marketing. A different brand would have given you the same thing..a lighter wallet and zero horsepower gain.

@@Sagittarius-88 that’s actually not true. All factory intakes have baffles to reduce intake/engine sound, and this creates a throttle response lag. A CAI replaces the baffles with a direct tube. The worst is the intake on the GM trucks... they look like a maze. You may get more power from a CAI due to possibly colder air and better flow, or you may not, but in all cases you will get better throttle response with less delay.

"Cold air" intakes are the biggest aftermarket scam of all time. It amazes me that people still piss their money away on these things. These things were designed to part fools and their money. No way in hell I'd piss my money away on this snake oil. Granted, there's definitely some modifications I'd like to to make to my 2020 F150, but wasting my money on an intake system that offers absolutely no performance benefits whatsoever definitely isn't in the mix.

Sagittarius 88 what mods did you have in mind ?

@@Newaggie I've made the following mods to my F150 (2020 XLT 5.0 Supercrew)... Bilstein 6112 stage 1 leveling strut and shock kit, Borla S-type exhaust, dual outlet with black tips, swing type storage boxes in the rear, bed cleats, tailgate letters, Rydonair 13" antenna, and a bunch of FOREScan mods. Future considerations are getting rid of the halogen headlamps for LED's, and getting rid of the factory 20 inch wheels for fuel assault 17's. I want bigger tires, but I'm not a huge fan of 20 inch wheels. I'd rather downsize to 17's and run 285/75 R17s which equates to about a 34 inch tire. Just my personal preference, but when it comes to running bigger tires, I prefer less wheel and more tire.

@@Sagittarius-88 Any of those upgrades improve throttle response? My 2011 5.0L had more than the 2020 5.0L I jus bought. Sluggish!

@@Sagittarius-88 I replaced my 20s with 17x9 Fuels with the - 12 offset and put some 34x11.5 meats on them. It's the perfect poke for me I love it. No rub but I installed 2.5" strut spacers to level. More rubber, less rim is definitely the way to go.

This CAI fit perfectly on my 2021 Ford F150 V8 5.0 and item i need was the 11/32 vacuum cap and Roush was nice enough to ship one to me free of charge

@@jacobb54 Good to know! Was there a gap where the tube from motor enters the airbox? It would seem to me any CAI that works on a 2020 will work the same as the Roush...1 vacuum cap. Looking at this and the S&B cai. Thanks!

@@rdalev1 Not sure about any other of the CAI systems but there is a gap with the Roush system. I've had the same system on my 2018 and the gap didn't effect the truck or at least from what I've noticed.

@@jacobb54 As someone noted in a video is that gap is actually allowing hot air into the box, which kinda defeats the purpose of a "Cold" air intake. It may be a minimal amount which has no effect but, I would think the box would be sealed. I might try an S and B, if their return allows it to be fit tested first. I would think (and I spoke with a Roush rep) if their 2018-2020 cai works with just plugging one whole, all other brands should too.

@@jacobb54 Hey Jacob, meant to ask , which hose (line) connector did you continue to use (connect to the tube running into the airbox) blue or white in the video and what did you do with the second line? Thanks!

If you have the V8 5.0L 2021 Ford F150 it will fit. I just installed it on my 2021 Ford F150 V8 5.0. Only thing different is you will need a 11/32 vacuum cap.

@@dallasdareichuk8313 yea it's basically a plastic / rubber piece that covers up one of the smaller air port on the intake. There are two tubes on the side of the air intake that are used for the previous f150 the 2021 f150 only uses one tube and the cap covers the unused one
