I went through two sets of VLAND LED headlights and each one failed, on three of them, the low beam sealed bulb came out of the tiny clips and shined upwards, the fourth problem was the bottom half LED stopped working and all this in last two years. I just purchased OEM LED Chrome Headlights for $2,500.00 from Ford Dealer, purchased two LED Ballasts and Wiring harness from Black Flame for $550.00 I haven't forscan yet; all lights work, however, with the engine running and I turn the BRIGHTS on, high beam really flickers, low beam flickers some. With the engine off, no flickering at all with Low, High and Fog on, only if engine is running.
I had 2020 stock halos on my xlt, I just swapped them for 2020 leds and have everything wired up but can’t seem to find the forscan codes. Can you do a tutorial on that
Question. I have a 2015 f150 xlt 2.7 eco. to which i recently did a 2019 front end swap with oem led headlights. I did all the forscan reprogramming and everything seems to be working fine. The only issue is that my DRL’s don’t seem as bright as other trucks like lariat’s, platinum’s, limited’s, etc. I also didn’t plug in the fuses that came with the harness because regardless of where I’d plug it into, my DRL’s stayed on even when my truck was off, lights switched off, no key in ignition, and truck locked. Any suggestions on how to make my DRL’s brighter ? And where to plug in the fuse ? I know it has something to do with do with the fuse but i may wrong but I ran out of ideas on where to plug in to. Please and thanks
I have same setup with black flames harness, install was fine but with using fuse 36 the lights will only work properly with accessories on. When the ignition is on the only thing that will work is the low beam. the drls (halo) wont light up with running lights setting and will not illuminate with low beam on and the high beam flickers. I have tried using different fuses and the only other result I had was they would function correctly except high beam would still flicker and the drls will not shut off even after truck is off. any suggestions?
@@gadriana97 yes. There was an issue with their harness which they have since resolved. I would also recommend triple checking that it’s connected to the right fuse.
Hey I have these headlights aswell! So with my wiring harness it has two 15amp fuses in it. Do I just take both of those out and plug in the 10 amp fuse?
Tony - after you’ve got the OEM headlights installed, and before you do the forscan, how functional are the headlights? Just curious if I can do the forscan later, or if that would cause a problem with the ballasts.
I have question about function on the DRL. Does it have a full power mode and a dim mode? It did not appear that the DRL dimmed when you turned on the low beams.
I’m in Dallas looking to get this done to my truck. Waiting on the harness to arrive but ready once it’s here. What’s the shop address if you don’t mind. Thanks in advance
The easiest way is to remove the clips from the fender itself, and place them on the flare and clip them back in. Otherwise you’ll struggle all day trying to get them back on.
Hi I have 2020 lariat and it did not come with the led headlights. Do you have a location in San Antonio texas? Id like to get these headlights installed ASAP
Hi Steven. We do not have a location in San Antonio, however we’re located in Dallas and wouldn’t mind making the trip there. Give us a call or shoot us a text tomorrow to discuss details. 469-227-0573.
If memory serves correctly, driver side is DRL is grey with blue stripe and passenger side DRL is violet with white stripe. I would definitely double check though.
