Man, I really like the look, but I don't think I could muster the strength to drill 35 holes in the front end. There's no coming back from that.

I was thinking of cutting the tabs off the roush pocket things and 3Ming it. I think that it’ll be strong enough judging by it being completely flat on the bumper

I feel you! I cringed when I saw a drill as part of the equipment, and I was like oh boy lol. I wish the piece was held on with a 3M tape. However, I'm guessing with the wind it might not be able to hold it.

I put mine on without taking the front end off. Just used the double sided tape, cut the tabs off etc... Drilled a couple tiny 1/16" holes and used a couple tiny black screws to help hold them on. Gaps aren't perfect, but what the hell, only took half an hour to slap em on.

Was all that even necessary. That 3M tape does magic to hold things. I would rather Dremel out the plastic tabs on these covers, and apply a bunch of that 3M tape to hold that piece in place instead of drilling all those holes in the bumper. There's a great deal of surface area on that flat nose area of the bumper. Besides, if you ever decide to change that look you are screwed!

Upgrade your functional aero to non-functional fake vents today! Simply drill a ton of holes in your factory bumper then stick the thing on there with tape! That’s gonna be a big no. This part seems more like no-brand eBay junk than an expensive Roush accessory.

Hell, I just grabbed a can of black primer and added black metallic on top of it on my corner vents corners. Filled in the triangle, no drilling and crappy plastic

You could just add a flat black after market grille to your Mustang, they look way better than the gloss black stock grille. Then it would all match. That's my plan.

You need to punch holes in those corner pocket upgrades. Otherwise your blocking the air flow to the brakes that was there stock.

Too bad Roush does not sell the now functional gloss vented pockets that they have now that feeds the extra supercharger cooler behind the new 2020 Stage 3, I am sure it would require more hacking up the bumper anyway since it looks pretty well vented and cut out.

I installed these on my car without drilling.. just used some Gorilla 30lb double side tape. I refuse to drill into my bumper

Dylan Wilkins that plastic piece is all one piece. Maybe I need to look under the light. I'll check it out in the morning, but I'm pretty sure those inserts are not functional. They don't have any openings in the plastic to let air in. I see that one has holes in it but mine doesn't. I'm pretty sure those are aftermarket.

Can't you technically cut holds in the back of these to make them functional? The stock oem ones have function at least. Also anyone just use the 3m tape maybe drill a few holes without doing all of this shit and call it a day?

They do look good, but for $279 and non functional. This is an installation nightmare! I’d walk barefoot on red hot coal before I commit to destroying my beautiful front fascia. Scrap all the holes/brackets and use a tit ton of 3m tape, problem solved.

I'm still undecided on the changes aesthetically, but performance wise it's great. I do, however, find it really annoying that they gave EB fake hood vents. WHY? So they can pretend for a moment to be fast? Edit: I see the idiots that designed that previous bumper attachment (awkward angled screw in a difficult to reach place) either did not work on this, or learned to make it more accessible this time around...

These facia corner pockets were developed because most everyone agrees that the 2018 refresh is absolutely ugly with those bizarre looking "catfish whisker" things that this mod is designed to cover over. Sorry, but I am absolutely thrilled I got my 2017 GT before this weird looking, very un-Mustang front redesign was carried out. The 2018 Mustang looks less Mustang with the new front end. I don't even like the hood! The strakes that my mustang has on the hood are absolutely badass looking, but the 2018 does not have them. Even the new hood vents suck. The only real redesign I really do like about the 2018 are the new tail lights. They look amazing! As soon as they are after market available--I will be sticking the redesigned tail lights on my 2017.

youchris67 Na bro, the 2018 is better than 2015-2017. The only thing I don't like is the lower fascia. However, the Roush design is absolutely Fire!!!!!!!!!! People are trading their 2015 thru 2017 in daily for the 2018.

No, I'm not bitter at all. Why would I be considering it's the same car. I've already made motor mods to my 2017 that makes it as powerful and fast as the 2018. Seriously, the cosmetic changes are so subtle--most people never notice. And again, that lower facia with those catfish "whiskers" things are absolutely awful. However, even though I love the front facia on my Mustang more than the current one--I am about to put the superior to all looking Roush front facia that totally blows away the 2018's in looks alone. In addition--anyone trading in 2015-2017 Mustangs for the 2018 are all in a for a rude surprise when a totally redesigned Mustang comes out in late 2020. By the way--I won't be trading in my current 2017 as I will keep it as I purchase the 2020 or 2021. That way, I'll have two Pony Cars! Ha!

youchris67 Obviously u have not test drove or seen one in person. The 2018 has more horse power. Drives and performs better. Has the dual exhaust. The front hood is lower. The Roush front fascia makes the 2018 look hotttttttttt.. Why would i wait till 2020 to purchase the new design when its not guaranteed to be a hit... Case in point the atrocious 2019 Camaro.. It should be called a Toyota Camaro..Absolute flop.
