The Borla is 2.75 inches in diameter while the Magnaflow is 3 inches. Do the math.

Same exhaust on mine. One thing to minimize drone is that you can look at sixth gear as an overdrive for highway use above 70mph. I’m fine with running 3k rpm at 65-70 if it means that there is no drone; the pickup at that rpm isn’t a downturn either.

Hey bill i love what you do here man. These videos are always helpfull. I know there are many request. And i just wanted to know if you could ever do a whipple install. Just for those mustang owners like me who would love to try out a whipple kit for the 2015-18 mustangs. Thanks and once again thanks for the helpful videos.

We are not a dealer for Whipple but do offer the Roush/Ford Performance TVS. There is an install for that system on the channel for the 15-17 and we will be doing an 18 kit in the future. - Bill

I have the MagnaFlow Axle Back with an X pipe and am probably going to put the resonator back on to eliminate the drone, it's not terrible but would like to tame it some.

I like this a lot, I've got 2 cars with a Magnaflow system and I think they are well made and sound great. You can short shift and keep the volume down when the police are nearby. But it gets plenty loud when the RPM pick up. But I still prefer the stock system with the H pipe.

I just had this system installed... what speed are you driving here? On mine, if I’m around 2k rpm the in-cabin noise is so high I wouldn’t be able to record this video. Thinking of adding the resonated X-pipe to tone it down a bit.

I’m guessing the drone he’s speaking about without the extra muffler installed would be minimal with a 10 speed automatic versus a stick shift model, and if you stick with the lowest rear axle ratio are these glass pack mufflers?

I always keep my car in normal driving mode unless I am on the track, with the passive exhaust it sounds the same on all modes.

New muscle cars need to stay away from mufflers altogether and just get silencers. First off, they are too loud. It's not the good loud; it's like the brown note or nails on a chalkboard type pitch. Secondly, it doesn't sound good like old muscle cars; it sounds almost identical to farting in a can. Kinda can't really blame the prius crowd for hating all muscle cars when the new plastic pieces of sh!t can be heard farting up and down the road at all hours of the day and night........
