Maybe I'll go pick up a bottle just to give it a shot. Tried the Charles & Charles rose, it was the 2018 and only $5.99 at Kroger. For the price I thought it was great and I even bought another bottle after.
Oh dear god. Did you really say hooker in church! Ha haha. I’ve not heard that one in ages! Cinnamon gum/spice could be the precursor for VA. Just at the threshold. For a rose I’d expect it to show more like a spice than balsamic. I’ve not seen this wine in my shops. I wish we had a total wine up here, that said for a moderate sized town next to the finger lakes AVA you’d think we’d have bigger shops..... but not so much. I have to go online for a lot, but my “local guy” is great and is a blast to work with.... and for a rose splurge...if you can get it, Chateau Pradeaux Vespree.... wowwowowser.... put d’Esclans Garrus to SHAME.
The irony is that my wife works for the church, so her folks probably will appreciate that statement. I'm a born and bred Texas guy, so that's a common statement. I'm really surprised that you haven't seen it in your shop. I thought it was a very common brand. For the Chateau Pradeaux Vespree, is that the one where latest vintage is around $200? That's over 3 months of content (and a pissed off wife) on this channel!

This is my local shop.... we have a really big wine/liquor store here owned by our local grocery store Wegmans.... I’ve not seen AIX there either. NY doesn’t allow wine sales in grocery stores. You ever get up this way you have to stop into Wegmans flagship store. It’s 135000 square feet. Yep 135000.....
