In this episode, we detail all the problems we encountered purchasing and traveling in our 2018 American Coach American Eagle 45A Diesel Pusher Motorhome.
As an owner of a simple 2015 Jayco Precept 29UM bought brand new (cheap Ford V10 A class gas motorhome), I never realized how fortunate I have been to have a trouble free coach that has worked reliably trip after trip. I will never envy you guys with your fancy diesel pushers ever again.
All I can say is WOW!! Your channel name is so appropriate. Can’t wait to see more of your “adventures”. 🤔 Maybe I should rethink this whole full time RV thing.
Hi Guys, South Carolina here. Just binge watched all 7 videos. I feel your pain. My wife and I also have a class A diesel pusher home on wheels in which to throw money at....lol. Anyways almost $290,000 and 6 years later i'm told it will be another $36,000 to re-skin and paint the coach due to delamination! oh well, I say it will probably be better to just keep her than to start over....You guys are a beautiful couple. Love your videos. Keep them coming.
I have watched all your videos and I am so impressed you are not furious as I would not be able to keep it together at this point. I have to admit I have an older (2003) Tiffin Allegro Bus and it is nowhere near as nice as your coach but it is reliable. Wish you better luck in your next coach as I sure hope you chagne manufacturers.
I sympathize with you. I have had nothing but constant repairs since I purchased my motor home. I am getting back into boating. Never had issues with my 42 foot trawler.
That is absoutely stunning, the rv is ok too. To bad it didn't work out. I've watched a few of your vids and decided I'd stay in hotels on my travels. I would have had that company in court.
DAMMMN!!! If it wasn't for bad luck you folks wouldn't have any luck at all. You guys have a great attitude. I lived in Houston and can absolutely believe brick off the overpass. Usually its semi 's they target.
You guys are living a horror story. I really feel for you guys. God willing you’ll get out of that coach and into a trouble free one. Good luck and stay healthy. 🙏🏻
Wow, just happened upon your story about your RV purchase. So sad how so many dealerships are complete liars, they promise the world then leave the buyer hanging. Years ago I purchased a new RV from a local crappy dealership, ended up dealing directly with Fleetwood/REV group Due to the incompetence of my local dealer. For me REV/Fleetwood was excellent to deal with. Yes it does take time when at their shop however every tech that I worked with as well as the service reps were all excellent. Presently RV shopping for another Fleetwood product for that reason. Hopefully you will have a similar experience
I googled what this is. First thing came jp wax the dealership these got it from , They still have this thing listed for $469,0000 , they've dropped 300k of the price. Don't know how when they have it
What a series of one bad luck issue after another! Half way through the video with each incident I was like OMG, OMG, OMG, WTF!! This was almost like a movie! The only thing missing while driving to the dealership, "hey honey, our luck has been so bad on this, all we need now is an overturned broccoli truck that prevents us from getting to the dealer." As you both laugh at the humorous absurdity. One mile later: "Hey, what's that? Is that an overturned broccoli truck in the middle of the road??" I hope things have gotten better for you guys!!
Can't wait to see the video of the big tow truck towing the RV out of the RV park on Monday and to the Freightliner dealer to get the death light issue taken care of. Let us know how much that tow bill ends up being.
You are the irritated travelers, but after all that you have been through, I would have to say that you are the patient travelers! I would have given up long ago 🤣 I think this would make a great show on HGTV
Wow!!! that's just terrible. We've had our vintage Airstream for about 15 years now and we are the second owners. I will never sell it or trade it we are just blessed to have started with something we can finish with.
Love u guys! What about videos about the daily check activities prior and during the driving? I also see you're good at cocktails... I'd also love a couple of how to videos...
Wow! We own (and live in) our 2017 Eagle Heritage Edition coach and I must say we have had nearly the exact same list of issues and learning curve that you have been through! It’s incredible how much you have to learn the tricks and tips for all systems and no one can explain any of them to you. We love our coach but definitely understand your exact frustrations! Thanks for your video. We are now subscribed!
Maybe a yacht? being in FL. That’s what they call putting good money into bad. But if you have the big bucks it can be a tax write off depending on how the rig was registered. Renegade has the lowest problems in the industry. I think you both would be happy in an Icon. Not a diesel pusher not as high end as a bus but built tuff. A good extended warranty with 0 deductible. That’s the way I would do it with on-site service free towing while I’m in a five star hotel waiting to get back into my rig which includes putting me up in a hotel with my two German Shepherd doggies. Best of luck. Steve in NYC.
I feel so bad for you guys. I have a 2019 travel trailer and the quality is mediocre at best... But mine was only $20k. Did you ever consider a 5th wheel or a travel trailer?
It's obvious you two workout. How do you do it while on the road? I'm guessing you have a membership at a national 24 hour fitness franchise. Looking fit and amazing!
I hope you learned your lesson on getting a Motor Home. You need to have it completely inspected and checked by a separate professional company from the seller, especially if you are remote from the MH's location. You can't trust any RV sales person or company. I hope you sued those guys.
The only way an inspection would have caught the leak is to drive it to FL and sit through a few big rainstorms. Probably why they were selling it in the desert!
You guys are not meant to have a RV. Someone is telling you not to buy one. I shouldn't laugh but I thought those things only happened to me.. Good luck, I hope you will find one that works for you..
Not sure it would do any good to have a new coach inspected by a "professional". Unless an inspector completely tears down the RV, they really don't know what is truly wrong with it.
Usually they are good homes…looks nice. The old American Eagles seem more reliable. Newer does not always mean better. Why RV world is still in business is behind me
Good God! I would have gone batshit crazy by now with all the trouble you had with these two coaches! This is inexcusable the problems you have had with the latest coach. it's apparent that they did not do any prep work or go through the coach before you took possession of this thing. You're not living the dream you're living the NIGHTMARE! You would think when someone buys a Hi End coach the service would be excellent and gone over with a fine tooth comb before you take possession .
just watched this today realizing this is old, I guess I'll see what you guys ended up doing with this coach but, this dealer should have had their pants sued off foe their deceit
newbie mistakes!! Should have never taken delivery nor purchase. It's the ole snake oil I have to sell...and it will cure everything. Eeeesh!! You guys have a great sense of humor. But, usually money does. Merci
Sounds more like you guys were living the nightmare and not the dream. The takeaway I’m getting from your experiences that an attorney should be hired when purchasing a motor home. You guys should sue the crap out of that dealership.
Oh, this isn't good Mojo. The gods are working against you. Are you sure this desire of doing a road trip in a MotorHome is worth all of the trouble. So sorry for all of your frustration of dealing with questionable sales people. How do you keep smiling?
You didn't have a report made for insurance purposes (brick thrown from overpass)? Sounds like I'd be consulting an attorney about all of the money you've been out. For all of the money you paid for a nice ride, it seems to be a piece of junk. In all honesty, with all of the issues before you even took it from the lot, I would have walked away.
