The inline 5 turbo is what put Audi on the performance map. The original Group B Audi Quattros were I5-Turbos as well as the S2 and RS2 from the early 90s. The I5 Turbos in the RS3 and RSTT are a throwback to their performance/rally roots

My blue car was best color because they used pigments from Korean nail salons.

When I worked at an Audi dealership, the additional airbags were considered a potential hazard to small children sitting in the back. So they became an option for those who mostly had adult passengers.

I swear manufacturers put visors that move in their cars now because of you. "We need to cut costs and not have adjustable visors". "What are you crazy, if we fail the visor test we will not sell a single car"....... -Movable visors added

This is the best designed sedan in it's class. They're right in pointing out the lines and all. It all works. This is the best looking sedan for the compact/intermediate class I've seen since e46 Bimmer.

I had an A3 for a little while. Even with its base 220hp, its was startlingly quick. Can’t imagine how much fun this would be with nearly double that haha.

I haven’t seen a single RS3 in my life. But I have seen so many BMW M cars. Meaning that the RS3 is so unique and rare.

To clarify a couple of things for you: 1- many brands do offer the additional airbags on the back, it’s not included standard because it could injure a child sitting in the rear (not in middle). Those are side curtain airbags. 2- the RS3 paddles are plastic and so are the new RS5, I’ve driven it. The R8 RWS and the non-V10 plus have even crappier paddles; they’re plastic and not even gloss black. The V10 plus has the same paddles as the RS3.

The seats look truly amazing. They remind me of the head of a cobra. And the rest of the car is awesome as well :D

Came out of 19 Golf R manual into new 20 RS3 fully equipped just 5 days ago. I have absolutely zero regrets and can not fault this car for anything like not having power seats, completely easily overlooked due to how amazing this car is!

It is blistering fast, handles like a dream and it has 90% of the amenities you get in luxury cars. This car is as fast as most 600hp cars out there!!!! It is a special car. It sounds so damn good, because it's a straight 5! It's basically one of the cylinder banks of the V10 in an R8 or Huracan. That's why it sounds so similar.

His reaction to the speed "It's sooooo fast".. Classic.

I'm picking up this car in August 2019 All black... There is none here to look at or even get a feel for it. I never even sat in it yet, but this video helped me feel like I already own it.

I owned this car for 4 months. Loved all of it. But I sold it!! Why?! I loved the test drive, but at 6 ft 3 inches I didn’t fit. I loved the car so much but didn’t fit. It’s too small for $66,000 (US). And my 6 ft sons hated riding in it. Now driving m3 (Manual, of course). Very happy. Great review. I did have the lava orange color that Audi does so well. Every cop saw me! 😀

The 5 cylinder is Audi trying to recreate a better version of their previous 5 cylinders like the Group B Quattro or the RS2 Avamt

one thing about the vents, if you pull the center nob up, the air will be diffused at a wider angle, instead of blowing directly at your face.

Definitely the best in its class so far

My wife’s S3 is pretty awesome to hoon in the snow, if you can left foot brake, it is like a scalpel. I think this motor would definitely require more skill to dance around than the 2 litre. I’m in love with the throwback nod 5 cylinder, I’ve been cookoo for the sounds it makes since the old group B Audi rally cars. Audi does such a great job at differentiating the A vs S vs RS models with styling cues. The RS looks properly turned out! I know the S3 runs a Haldex unit like the Golf R, does the RS have actual Quattro or Marketing Quattro(Haldex)?

Not that I can afford to buy one, but you guys have just sold me on this car.

Awesome engine. Good looking car (though I would prefer a hatch). Nice interior. The engine is worth the price of admission alone, an aftermarket tune away from supercar-level performance. Too bad you can't a manual. I do wonder what would make it "handle better" than a Golf R as the cars would seem to be so similar mechanically aside from the engine. What aspect of the handling is better?

Hey guys “Quattro” is branding. That is Haldex AWD without TQ vectoring. So same AWD as the golf R or S3. You only get the true Quattro with TQ vectoring on longitudinal motors. MQB platform is transverse. That’s why I got an S4 instead of the RS3.

I got mine in the same color (minus the black package, i preferred the silver exterior trim) and I freaking love it more than anything.

That blue is phenomenal. I love my mazda3, I think it looks great, this car makes me jealous in a way that almost no other cars manage.
