2018 Audi RS6 Performance vs. 2008 Audi RS6 V10 - Acceleration Sound 0-100, 0-300 km/h Links to the original videos: • Audi RS6 Acceleration ... • 605HP Audi RS6 C7 Perf...
Well you know "there's no replacement for displacement". The thing that makes the new RS6s fast isn't the engine - it's the gearbox. Very short gears at the beginning is what helps the acceleration. C7 is in 5gear even before 180 while the C6 shift into 4th at 190. Also take a note on the temperature. 11.5C for the V8 vs 28.5C for the V10. Anyone who has a turbo car knows how much they adore cold air. Even on my old 2.7T A6 using the same map i get ~40hp difference between summer and winter.
Yes but not too cold as well. The sweet spot is 20-25°C for turbo and intercooler engines. Too cold will not increase power (I mean for stock factory engines).
I dont mean to be so offtopic but does anyone know of a method to get back into an Instagram account..? I somehow lost the password. I would appreciate any tricks you can give me!
nice joke, old tiptronics shifts much faster in S than in D. My 2.7T Allroad Tiptronic does 0-100 in D in 8.8sec in S it does 0-100 in 7.6sec. It makes no difference at all...
BMW ///M Power *RS7 performance. I never said it does 24sek. 0-300 km/h. But this RS7 in RS6 in the Video is not tuned. Thats what i said. I dont know who scammed you
Lol for the people who are bashing the V10 ("even if its stage 3 tuned 250hp 2cyl more blablabla") , think wider then just power numbers, what about gearbox ratio's, shiftspeeds, tires, etc etc... that V10 is 10years old, uses a 6speed tiptronic, the "new" rs6 has an 8speed tiptronic that shifts alot faster.
Kay Voyager nope more like 355ish it doesn’t have the aeronautical properties with that power to weight and theoretical gearing to reach 400.. also it’s not stock it’s a stage 3 modded car read at start of vid
Id take the v10 a few tunes and forget about it. When they strecth there legs they just keep building power. Fucking amazing. I have a v10 non turbo i couldnt imagine a rs6 . Bigger turbos and a tune fucking gone.
@@modixas Still gearbox is at play, having shorter gears = faster acceleration but it takes time to shift all the tim.... Yeah its a dual-clutch as well, so it even shifts faster as well besides the gears being shorter. Both win-win compared to the 6sp tiptronic. If the RS6 V10 had the 8sp, now that would be interesting.
Schade. :(
New RS6 is damn fast, if you consider the old one is STAGE 3 ! New got 245 HP and 150NM LESS and is still almost as fast as the tuned old one. To 180 its even faster!!!!
Munyaradzi K. D Zindoga Yes there are replacement for the displacement the V10 was stage 3 in this video and the V8 was stock from factory do you know what is the meaning of this ???? if you're shity displacement was stock it will lose so badly because the V8 was actually faster from 0kmh to 250kmh that's more than enough so imagine if it has a chip only :) it will kill the shity good for nothing V10 twin Turbo stage 3 LOL
Had the V10 with ECU tune for about 700PS... and while everything is relative, it never felt crazy fast. Also quite unengaging to drive and uninspired engine note compared with the V8T. Got rid of it after 18 months and been into AMG's ever since.
yeah, the owner of the video in german as far as I could understand said its around 700hp, so it's not that far off the new RS6. You can clearly see when gears don't shift it just pulls harder than the new RS6. It's the gearbox that helps the new RS6 pull so quick up to 180. I would love if possible to see the old V10 on the new gearbox, that would absolutely demolish the new RS6. And although I love the rumble of American V8s, the german V10 just sounds better than their V8s in my opinion. Also I think the old RS6 would benefit of a gearbox tune, could shift faster. And theres certainly more potential for the engine tune as well. Most tuned V10 RS6s I see them in first gear rev very quickly and banging on the revlimiter at first gear due to slow gearbox shifts, while this just "gradually" reaches redline before shifting to second. No banging the revlimiter... Not enough power ha. I would almost call this stock, but i'm not sure. Not to mention the temperature difference in favor of new RS6 with both being turbo cars.
The v10 twin turbo is just in the end the better faster car. It was outrunning the c7 past 200kmh and doing so in a much hotter outside temp. Then the c7's run. It wasn't even sweating doing that speed. The c7 has not got the long legs to stretch for top end speed past 300kmh. They struggle to gain the top speed the v10 can reach. True missile of a motor. There's one v10 rs6 on you tube that was reaching 378kmh. A c7 edition will never reach that speed.🤔🤔
CO2 emissions, weight, hot turbos for reduced turbo lag and instant throttle response, less front weight for less understeer and last but not least ... it's faster in any given situation. ... if you adore V10's (and who doesn't?) they have to be naturally aspirated. ... capiche?
I'm assuming you didn't select S mode because of the remap. Reaches redline before gear change anyway, with the stage 3 D mode. Also the 2018 dash dials look older than the 2010 model. 😂
It's mainly because of the gearbox the rs6 v10 has a 6 speed with longer ratios and is inherently slower than the c7 rs6 but engine wise the v10 is superior
Both models have their following (I own the C6) - The outside air temperatures are nowhere near comparable + C6 is not in Sport mode + the DSG is in another league. Anyway, the C7 is the better car..... ‘bang for your buck’ the C6 takes the crown.
Id rather have the v10 naturally aspirated in a couple of years the v10 will be worth a lot more too. All new cars are becoming fake these days with turbos and lighter cars and crappy crackles and pops.
