Man, your videos are getting way way way better than other youtubers i've watched bro! This is why i only watch your reviews 'cause they are THAT good! Keep the videos coming Sofyan!👍👍👍👍
Nelson Lai lol what you mean hes the most opinionated reviewer online, theres so much better reviewers especially ones that actually understands mechanics unlike this guy. Hes not bad tho, as a general review hes good. But i wont say hes the best by a long shot 😄
Wow, this 7 series is super base. No vented seats, no multi contour (thigh extender and massage), the bad Dakota leather, and more. I’ve never seen one this base before. I looked at a 740e in the dealer with the quilted leather and all the options and the interior was gorgeous.
We love your thoroughness and enthusiasm in your reviews. Both of your reviews have helped us by two cars that you test drove. 2017 Subaru Impreza limited and 2019 Acura RDX A-Spec!
Sofyan I love your videos and you have an outstanding personality which makes your reviews even better. Keep up the good work and I guarantee that more and more people will find your channel and reviews very helpful.
I think the issue with the interior is its black. Black interiors tend to hide all the beauty in cars like these (lighter colors tend to do better in cars like these but black interiors have their advantages) but thats just my opinion. Anyway the 7 series is good but nowhere as near as good as the S class , Ls , and upcoming A8. Great review as always.
bought one in nov of 2018. I've never liked a german ' QUALITY ' or should i say lack of it . lol . So far, this thing gave me no problem at all . 34k of driving . Zero problems Nothing at all ! . I was very skeptical about buying it , now i like it . This 4-cylinder is fast, very fast ... with huge amount of torque ! When you charge it nightly, your gas mileage is incredible . It gives you about 360- 390 miles in City driving combined . This is a real mileage ! if fully charge, electric drive gives you around 15 miles +/- 5 . Gas tank about 11 gal . total . Yes , 11 gallons .. The most important is that BMW finally learn that 7 series must be reliable ! No room for weekly visit to dealership fixing what should be working to begin with .... So, when it comes to quality -reliability S- class is faaaaar behind this time . In my opinion, it is the First really reliable 7 series ever !! It is a pretty car too, better looking and better made than my 2017 S-class .and much more better than MB on gas .
I have to say, the Lexus LS looks way better. The interior on this BMW looks bland compared to the interior of the LS which has the “L” design language throughout the interior and exterior.
Mercedes is killing BMW in the design department. Not a BMW hater as I've owned both brands but this 740e is just bland all over the exterior. Great review.
Nice review 😉. Just a comment IMHO ... those of us who can afford this car are more interested in comfort than racing around like a maniac. I did that in my 20’s 😃. Now I’m 45 ... maniac not so much anymore. 🙄😂
I still like the Lexus LS and Mercedes S-class more. Audi's new A8 is better but the 7-series is still better than Jaguar XJ, Genesis G90, Cadillac CT6. I'm also biased towards the Lincoln :)
Abid Niaz The Lincoln Continental offers soo much for the price tho and the Jaguar XJ is a bargain steal especially when you get the performance packed XJL R supercharged 🔥🔥🔥
Mercedes did have a competitor it was brought out in 2015 as a S550e Plug-in with the 3.0 v6 biturbo combined output 436hp 476lb-ft with 14-20 miles of electric range,16.6 gallon fuel tank 26mpg and 58 mpge.
I like when the videos cars aren’t the top of the line trim because most people don’t get the highest trim they get a couple of features and call it a day
You know, I like that they went with buttons on the HVAC controls. No buttons for the HVAC controls must be a bannable offence. I'm looking at you, Volvo, and Audi.
I hate that people use the “it’s not supposed to be reliable” mentality. That’s a stupid excuse to forgive a company for designing cars that won’t last. Cars should be reliable. Period. Nobody should be designing 2 ton machines that are going to be trash in 5-10 years.
EXPECT THABEST Luxury cars are pretty reliable nowadays. I see the same comments over and over again it’s annoying.. don’t yuck somebody’s yum cuz you’re a boring reliability person
Actually, Caddilac does sell a CT6 PHEV option that works very similar to the volt. It gives around 30 miles of EV range. But, this car is more popular in china and manufactured there, not in the USA. So, they are quite hard to find. But, your statement that the other competitors have not caught up is not accurate. If you want to drive one, please do so before the tariffs kick in, because that will hurt these low volume imports.
Really nice review Sofyan, as always! I don't like this BMW (although it is faster than I expected!) However I do love how you help me have a more open mind about some cars. 740e is not all bad... but as you say, I'd want the V8 model !
@@ancient.journey Here's the thing... i may not care about 500 hp, and even less so about 2L/100 km... People may want the V8 for other reasons... the sound, the bragging rights associated with being higher up the hierarchy 🤷🏽♂️
Personally, Audi is killing it in the technology department! Lexus and Audi are turning heads right now. Mercedes is exciting today and Bmw is behind. Really like the 4 series Gran Coupe, but nowadays things are behind. You can no longer rely on your badge when you have versatile KIA and Hyundai producing everything from family suvs to Luxury sport sedans!! What a time to be alive!😅
I'd take a G90 or a LS over this any day. BMWs competition from it's home are also killing them. Mercedes is killing it with quality, pricing and design lately. I'm not a massive Audi fan but the new a8 is stunning and intresting. BMW is riding on name right now, these boring boxes don't deserve the BMW name or heritage.
BMW is so mundane. Mostly all BMW sedans look the same. At least Mercedes you can tell which one is which. Also interior of the Mercedes s-class is 10x better than the 7 series.
Saad Qureshi If you're taking about sedan's? They all look the same. Go look at the C class, E, class and S class and put them all side by side. They all have the same exact exterior.
Spectacular review, as always, Sofyan! Personally, I totally agree with you. I find the styling of the flagship sedan to definitely be lacking that "gravitas" that other competitors seem to boast (from both the interior and exterior). The styling is somewhat bland, but like all modern day BMWs, it has that certain je ne sais quoi that attracts looks simply because of its conservative elegance. Nevertheless, keep up the great work, Redline Reviews! I can't wait to see what vehicle review you have scheduled next.
I'm hearing the word "nice " over and over again. I'd say, roughly 150 times. That's what this bmw is, isn't it? Nice. Not wow. Not amazing. Not flashy. Nice
All that Mercedes tech Is going to be costly to repair & maintain long term guaranteed! It'll cost another fortune to maintain unfortunately! Initial quality is always the selling point but long-term it becomes irritating. Too many glitches. Now Genesis are really stepping up their game! Not S Class quite yet but definitely turning some heads! Cadillac ct6 with the new twin turbo v8! Now I'm excited by performance in caddies automobiles! I love the suttle changes to the ct6 but still not luxuriously appointed enough which would raise the price, but they could tweak it a bit to not affect the price that much! It should still be very competitive though!
Research has shown that Mercedes from 2010 up are more reliable than BMW & Audi... Also lower than industry standard.. Those unreliable days are over with, with that said electronics do eventually break so it's hit or miss...
One Kxng But when your paying 6 figures for a vehicle with as much prestige as a Mercedes Benz you don't expect to have little nuisance issues with electrical components or battery drains, ecm unit malfunctioning, super charger issues window switch glitches, & other little mishaps which takes away from the owners satisfaction & overall experience with their 6 figure vehicle not to mention depreciation! I think if I'm paying that kind of money this car hard better be backed by an exceptional warranty or just plain be reliable & trouble free mostly! Yes it looks exceptionally beautiful & very luxurious but how much will all that cost you in the end my friend? Dollars not sense!!
I like it the way it is, it's understated, sport package would ruin it IMO. People will know you made it, without having to shout it. That being said unless my lottery ticket comes in it's all academic, me considering a $100K car! Love your reviews.
I’m sorry, but should I have the means, there’s no way I’d buy a 4-cylinder 7-series, or any 4-cylinder BMW for that matter. For that kind of car, I don’t want to hear any engine noise, but if I have to, I don’t want it to sound like an economy car.
I kinda find it annoying in every single review u always push the one touch window down button and bring right back up and make the same statement "I wouldnt expect anything less"....you really dont have to press the button at all cause u dont even show the window going down
If BMW is wanting to do a hybrid system on this car… They need to have it be with a turbo 6 and a beefier hybrid system. The sound of that little 4 banger in a 7 series just isn’t right for status a 7 series carries.
