That new s70 is the perfect tool for your sidewalk contracts. Congrats on the purchase! I’m sure your crew will appreciate the warm cab. Cheers from Saskatchewan!
Mighty Moe Excavating plows sidewalks and salts at the same time with a Massey gc2300 with 60 in angle blade and 200 hydromann drop salter. Keep up the good work
Nice Video Chant, Could you do a walk through of the S70 on the inside. We have a Bobcat S650 2 speed and it has quite a few features. I'm curious what comes in the s70 for controls, heating/cooling system and auxiliaries. Thanks for another video. Cheers!!!
Hey Chant could you please tell me the laws regarding driving on the road with bobcats/skidsteers/loaders. Are they allowed as long as they have a SMV sign? Im just curious because sometimes I drive site to site on my quad with a blade and I have an SMV sign. I know the laws probably arent the same in Minnesota as in Ontario but I just want to get an idea of the law for this kind of thing, thanks in advance.
Riley Hoddinott you have to register and insure the machine to be road worthy. It is called a "special commercial" plate. However, during snow events, no one is going to bust chops since trailering is far more dangerous in a snow event.
@Concrete and Construction, I spoke with someone who works for my municipality, they said either way you probably wouldn't be able to with an ATV because the only plates available for ATVs are what they call "Green Plates" and they only give you the ability to ride OFATV approved trails, but no public roads. However, I've been plowing the sidewalks in my neighbourhood for quite some time and never had issues with the police or law enforcement. I think if anything, they appreciate me dropping my blade going down the sidewalk to my next site lol
Chant.....far be it for me to tell you how to run your business or what equipment to purchase but....good Lord man!!! There are other pieces of equipment available that are useful in all four seasons. Have you looked at a Ventrac? Ventrac also just came out with a sidewalk snow vehicle(SSV). You need a broom, angle blade or blower for these sidewalks. Plus, just the liability level having a guy in a tiny Bobcat like that with not that great of visibility. Not to mention the fact that the machine tears the hell out of yards. Geez, man! Take some friendly advice!
