I am 58 years, 6'1" in decent shape, and absolutely love the higher seating position, both for driving and for ingress and egress, much easier on body than low sitting cars. And the 500 is great for hanging your left arm out the window, old school
I have a lot of seat time in the Abarth and thought it was a ball to drive. About the only car to compare it with is a Mini S. And the Mini costs almost 50% more.
I worked for Fiat from 2012 to 2017 and fell in love with the abarths, so I got one on 2015. After testing both transmissions I opted for the auto. It's actually a zinch quicker than the manuals and sounds more throatier. Plus my wife can drive it, not that she wants to😅
I had a 2017. Loved it. When I traded that car in the dealer already had a buyer for it and I got top dollar, actually over top dollar because theier buyer really wanted my car.
Hey! Tyler here, the creator of the review above. No major issues with the Auto. Had a small jerky shift from reverse to drive at one point and the service center said they sorted it. Though I'm not sure they actually did since I've experienced it once more after that service, but that's it. Can't say I wouldn't go with a manual if I purchased again, but the auto is a hoot too. Getting a 6th gear is also a bonus.
