The steering is perfect feel in my opinion. Just taking it to 3000-3500 accelerates to 60 fast enough to where u still pull away from the average acceleration of traffic. No need to race car drive it. Thats what my quads, jetskiis, dirtbike, snowmobiles are for ;).
Great review as always! It sounds to me like one should pass on this vehicle for better options as too many fundamentals sounded like they were off or missed the target.
Name something better for 48k plus shipping on the platinum. Only thing i didnt like is steering id want alittle more firm, but i have not drove one yet to know that. dont like any chevy or gmc in comparison. Just the antenna's for radio on them suck, electronics out dated . Ford sync is superior to most, even better than bmw x5m a freind has. I like the explorer more than friend at works new jeep grand cheerokee with the 5.7L hemi , another guy at work has a lincoln suv which is no better nor looks better> A friend of mine has a audi qx7 suv and not worth the extra price. Jaguar suv not worth the extra price and to get over 400hp engine ur up to like a 100k suv with no better electronic technologies inside. Ford Explorer Platinum ALL FUCKING DAY.
The sport fixes that steering issue. You lose a few minor luxury things, but you if you are like most looking for better / tighter steering, you gain better looks and a lower price tag as well.
F yea, like it better than chevy , gmc, jeep, audi, bmw, jaguar been in all of them and 2017-2018 models. 48k plus tax on platinum current if ur getting good deal.
