This is the exact truck I’ve ordered directly from Ford. Thanks for making this available for me to watch 700 times and get as excited as the day I ordered it!
Very very good video! Give this man a raise! Knows what he's talking about. Straight to the point, great at comparing the trucks and little "um..." and "uh..." awesome. Thank you for the video.
I have watched probably 100 videos about the 2018. You are so thorough on your review and its unbelievable you did it in one take!. I wish I could give you my business! Would you sell to someone in NY?
We sure do Christopher. We sell all over the U.S. and at great prices! You can call us anytime at 810.629.2255 ask for new car sales. Just tell them you saw us on RU-vid, you can even talk to Paul himself :)
absolutely love the f250 grill. beautiful. rumor is so many liked it they rushed to put it somewhat on the f150. it's of course the norm for f150 to change their style often....but the last model was for only 2 years. lol. man, they really loved the 250 to change it that fast. what's makes the quick change even crazier is that the 2016-17 put out a TON of special editions, all the shelbys...the raptor , the nitemare..etc. more special editions over that stretch than the f150 had ever done....and ironically on a model that lasted months lol. u go spend 55k + on those and their the "old" model so quickly. nice video. been waiting for 18s. my budget on it is low 30s so I'll be getting one of the basics but still really looking forward to it
Great review! Definitely nit-picking, but I am disappointed that Ford still isn't offering the smart key on all their F150s. I can understand that commercial fleets may not want/need that, but even the entry level focus comes with the smart key.
I have the 2016 XLT Sport 302a package... So the only interior difference between mine and this 2018 is a really silly looking new pattern on the seats? And you removed the trailer assist? Glad I bought a 2016.
Very good review. I have to ask: Has Ford rectified the poor headlight visibility issues that were prevalent in the 2017 F-150? (*the headlights were given a "poor" rating by the IIHS).
Hi Kevin, Those rating have not yet been released but we can keep you up to date. We can say however that after driving the 2017 at night many times, we noticed the headlight being quite adequate vs other vehicles, but respect the IIHS rating and hope that it is nothing less that great in 2018.
+Kevin MacTavish The IIHS rating wasn't really about visibility. It was more about the headlights not being automatically adjustable like the projector beams of the RAM. Nevertheless, when it comes to safety in a crash the F-150 is the only truck to receive good ratings in all the crash tests. And the F-150 is the only truck to receive a "Top Safety Pick" rating from the IIHS. My personal opinion is that a headlight that doesn't adjust is an acceptable fault when compared to increased chance of injury and death in a crash.
BewareTheIdes I don't know what you talking about but iihs website says "visibility was inadequate" www.iihs.org/iihs/ratings/vehicle/v/ford/f-150-crew-cab-pickup
awesome video man, i honestly did not see the front bumper and how it was similar to the raptor. Just a question, is the 8 inch cluster lcd available for xlt or just for lariat and up?
Sorry, Rogue, the small screen is still available on lower trims. The 8in is not standard across trims. We think the goal there is cost savings trying to create as entry level pricing as possible for budgets. Thanks!
Love it I'm looking at 2018 f150 the sport model, I have the 2014 f150 ecoboost, was looking at ecoboost on the 18 model, or the v8 model, can u get led head lights in the xlt sport , I have the hid lights I in mine
Great review. Looking forward to getting my truck once my lease is up on my explorer. Quick question. Does the Lariat sport package retain the daytime running LED lights with quad beams like the Lariat chrome package?
Your praise of the auto start/stop is not representative of what the majority of ford owners say. They all hate this stupid feature and call BS on the gas saving claim. Other than that great video. -Cheers mate
Great video. My lease on my 2016 explorer is up in about 5 months. I plan to get this same exact configuration but in ruby red. Can you please give me an estimate on how much my lease will come up to. I'm looking to stay within the same range I'm in now or lower. I currently pay $460/month on my explorer
Ford is slowing making there f150 bigger to there f250 model bodies. Just like the early 90's trucks. They've been wanting to get back to this for years.
It turns black when it starts to get dark outside just like automatic headlights. The truck was inside creating the same effect as darkness at night. It does this because the light blue and white would be too bright at night distracting the driver.
The small screen is still available on lower trims. The 8in is not standard across trims. We think the goal there is cost savings trying to create as entry level pricing as possible for budgets. Thanks!
They all have auto start- stop even the 5.0? I have a 2016 5.0 and I love it, I will be extremely depressed if that's the case. I was considering a 2018 King Ranch, I may have to look at GMC...
Most of our upgrades are with custom leather thru Katzkin. This allows our customer to pick out a top grade leather with custom inserts, stitching, and colors. This can be done for the same price or less than factory leather :)
Ford can never seem to make a reliable automatic transmission, nor allow the choice of a 302 v8 in all trims. Hate the choices made by Ford but damn I like the way they look
No Nicolas, We had the same question above. We think the goal there is cost savings trying to create as entry level pricing as possible for budgets. Thanks!
I got mine back in October. It's a race red XLT sport, 5.0, 4x4. It was 51.8k MSPR, and I got it for 39.5k before ttl and 42.4k OTD. (Rebates were $6k.) Hope that helps.
Yeah, I would definitely get the rims as shown in the 2017 Sport model in this video. It's only about $200 more and frankly you can get that $200 knocked off the price easily before you buy.
Trucks have become so gaudy and ridiculously overpriced. Bring back the simplicity of the ranger and S10's and Dakota's. People who drop 60k or more for these oversized cell phones will never use them for their intended purposes, much less even go down a dirt road for fear of scratching it.
