Highfield Classic 360 Deluxe RIB with Yamaha F25 EFI.
The Classic 360 Deluxe is a premium centre console model that raises the bar for comfort and convenience. Gone is the temporary looking accessory bench, replaced by a more permanent wider fixed bench seat that runs the full width of the interior. Two adults can sit comfortably on this bench seat, which has dedicated cushioned back rests and over ten cubic feet of storage (280 L) under the bench. That’s enough room for fourteen cases of… well you get the idea.
A new wider fixed mount bench seat opens up on a gas-assist strut to a huge 280 litre storage compartment with easy access to the fuel filter and bilge pump. Mounted in the bilge is a premium 500 gph Attwood Sahara automatic bilge pump with an internal float switch.
The Deluxe model adds a control console that has a small wind deflector, a large wrap around hand rail and storage accessed through a flip-up hatch in front. This hatch also allows access to the battery and instrument wiring. There is some flexibility when mounting the centre console. For those that want more leg room, the console can me mounted further forward.
This Deluxe model also includes SeaDek marine flooring, a durable non-skid closed cell foam that is glued in place. This shock absorbent cushioned flooring looks great, is very comfortable, won’t absorb water and doesn’t get hot in the sun.
Powering our test model was a Yamaha F25C, one of the lightest 25 HP outboards on the market, even though it’s a 4-stroke. It’s light enough to help keep the total boat package under 520 lbs without fuel. You probably won’t attempt a Kilo record with this inflatable but we did see 32 mph on the speedo. It also has battery-less EFI which makes for easy starting and consistent throttle response. Thankfully Yamaha now includes a proper manual recoil starter on all F25C models, very handy if your battery runs down.
Overall this 360 Deluxe model from Highfield is a great package for someone looking for a mid-range centre console tender.
