@@michealjohnson2744 The Hino 268 is a non-CDL truck and the 338 is a Class 7 truck and requires a CDL and had has a GVWR of 33,000lbs. Currently we do not have either the 268 or 338 reefers in stock
In Florida, any person, except a person who possesses a valid Class A driver license, who drives a motor vehicle having a gross vehicle weight rating or gross vehicle weight of 26,001 pounds or more must possess a valid Class B driver license.

Yeah, they carefully designed everything so well that the DEF fill is on the wrong side, pain in the ass at truckstops going into the lanes the wrong way if you need DEF.

What are the advantages of a de rated hino 338 over a hino 268? The only advantage i could think of is up rating to full capacity if the operator has a cdl. Can these be uprated to full capacity at any time?
Derek, thanks for your question. You get the benefit of heavier duty axles, suspension and brakes in a non-CDL truck. You can't up-rate a truck once it has been registered.
Hi! if you're interested in pricing, you can contact us at 972-632-3743 and we'll get you directed to one of our sales account managers who will be able to help!
Great question! And the answer is yes you can turn the reefer off or on as needed. It has its own diesel engine and runs independently of the truck. Truck can be off in the reefer unit can still be on and vice versa
We no longer have the original pricing for this exact vehicle, but I can have an account manager reach out with pricing of a newer unit. Please give us a call at 972-632-3743. Thanks!
This is a de-rated 338 so it is a non-CDL truck. GVWR of 26K. Also, this truck has sold but we have a very similar one that is a demo truck that is on the website and currently for sale. Thanks
Very interesting question. Most likely Wi-Fi or signals would not be blocked. A Reefer truck does have multi-layers for the box siding, but nothing that would block full signals from a wi-fi network. It might be a weak signal, but most likely would get through. Thanks, and I hope that helps.
@@maxjnb4816 The current truck in this configuration would weigh around 18K (aluminum lift gate and box) so you still have around 7K of weight before going out of compliance on a D-rated 338. Thanks.
