I have lived in INDY all my life. I have so many memories and pictures of me growing up year after year of going to the track for practices, carb day, qualifying and race day. There is NOTHING LIKE THE INDY 500.!! THE GREATEST SPECTACLE IN RACING. ALWAYS!

While no one will ever truly replace Jim Nabors singing back home again in Indiana, there is no one better to replace him than Jim Cornelison. Has a connection to Indiana and a great voice.

Watching this race at eleven years old was the most amazing thing ever. Hottest Indy ever and it showed. I’m 13 now and the feels of listening to these noises is so mesmerizing

When I found out that Chris Hemsworth came to the Indy 500, it was after it happened! I was so ticked because I really wanted to meet him! 😢 I feel like no one cool comes to Indiana, and someone awesome did come to Indy! I was about 40 minutes away from him!

This was the last Indy 500 to be broadcasted on ABC

That high droning buzz just as they pass the camera, then the droning goes down just as fast..... that sound? one of my favorite sounds on Earth!

I used to get bored at races, seeing a bunch of cars doing the same laps over and over again. But when watching this for the first time, I just finally got it...

wow... indycar has WAY bigger balls than F1... indycar literally just posted their biggest race of the year on RU-vid for their fans to watch.... way to go indycar!!!!

In F1, when you put just a single picture from the race to video on RU-vid, you have to delete that video or your channel will be deleted... In this is Indycar WAY better. Huge thanks for upload.

I was at the 106th Running of the Indy 500 yesterday! I was in section 13 by the monitor looking at the camera covering turn 4. Row P. I was with my dad, my brother, my grandpa and a friend of mine. It was the best day ever!

Listen to this on radio rather than watch it on tv! and at least once in a while you'll hear Paul Paige!.

They race horses in Kentucky. In Indiana they race.

I'd love to see Formula 1 come back to Indy. I miss those races when I was younger. Even better if they ran the road course cause the new chassis changes coming in 2021-2022 would make Indy prime racing real-estate.

The Indy 500, Daytona 500 and Bathurst 1000 races are among the greatest car races every driver wants to win.

I was there at the race all the way from Singapore. It was a fantastic atmosphere. In fact, the memorial weekend from Friday in Indianapolis was great. Ed Carpenter led much of the race, it was a pity he didn't win.

I’m from the UK. Let’s get that out of the way first. Whilst F1 is undoubtedly more technically advanced as some here would point out you cannot help but marvel at the sheer spectacle of this race. Nothing else like it on earth. Whilst F1 changes and reviews it’s rules to make it more exciting and less predictable, how envious it must be of this race. Massive crowds, massive speed, massive spectacle. Oh for the day F1 could embrace a Stateside oval in its calendar. Long live Indy 500.

Scott Goodyear needs to be a permanent member of the broadcast crew for the entire season. Enjoyed his commentary and knowledge.

This is awesome. Wish F1 would do the same. Especially since they have much better coverage than this now. They actually let you have glimpses into the conversations being had between the Driver and the engineer now which I absolutely love.

Watching it on TV was watching commercials with some occasional racing thrown in. It was SO FRUSTRATING. Thanks for this upload.

A peculiar thought entered my mind watching these wonderful vids: Kimi Raikkonen will absolutely detest every single moment he isn't on the track, driving his car.

I'll say one thing, I'd get it with who won & I had a feeling that was gonna happen based on the strategies at the end, but could you imagine what would have happened if one of those 3 underdogs leading towards the end would have won instead?

I hope the 2019 race is a little better than what this year was it was so hard to pass this year that was frustrating hopefully they have done some testing to make the race a little bit more exciting than it was in 2018

Such a relief to not have to listen to the late Jim "Gomer Pyle" Nabors sing "Back Home Again In Indiana" again. I liked and appreciated him MORE when he made people laugh than when he sang. It's never a good idea to let funny people sing.
