Classic legends Private Limited a subsidiary of Mahindra and Mahindra have signed an exclusive brand license agreement with the iconic Jawa brand in 2016. The Classic Legends has the rights to create, brand and sell Jawa branded motorcycles in India.
So for the past 2 years, they were in the process of developing a brand new motorcycle and engine. And now they have announced the launch date.

Hi Gorgoroth, so nice to know that you are a JAWA fan too. Where did you see the red and chrome one? The launch date is expected on 15th Nov 2018 in India. At this moment it will be difficult to comment about the transportation charges from India to England. The bike itself is expected to be in the price range of 1.5 - 2 lakhs INR (1 - 2K GBP). Also consider the import duties in England. Why don't you opt for Triumph instead? These are British legends and it must be cheaper in England. However in India the most basic triumph bonneville costs us around 9-10 lakhs INR. (10K GBP) thanks to our tax heavy government. If Triumphs were in the price range of JAWA, I would have opted for the former.

Various reasons as in labour force problems. There was no quality control. The labourers would do a 8 hr careful job within 4 hrs carelessly and sit down to play cards. Every Mysorean knows this. It hit the quality of the product which many loved. The other was they were 2 stroke engines.

Hi Gorgoroth Bergen, New Jawa is launching in 15th of this month. Jawa India has the license to produce and sell motorcycles in India. They can't export it to Europe. But you can import there as an individual, after buying it here. It will be in showrooms by early next year.

This bike is manufactured by Classic Legends PVT. LTD., not by JAWA. CLPL has signed only to use the brand name "JAWA". Is it correct ?

HARISH CHANDRA, It depends on your need and taste. If you want a performance oriented premium bike then it's R15, Bajaj V15 for Retro looks, best of all worlds - Gixxer150, CB Hornet 160 or RTR 160 4V. I would recommend RTR 160 4V.

oh come on,...this story has been going on for many years now, that jawa is coming, Mahindra is bringing ,..etc.. bringing a brand new two wheeler to production ( if Mahindra is the one who is bringing, then manufacturing will also be here ) in India involves huge investment and the returns will take more time( Mahindra already have burnt fingers in there two wheeler plunge, not healed til now), given the current competition this segment has with the current bike makers who have their war horse bikes already on road.BTW the electric thing on bikes is already in making and baking stage by all bike makers,...so this jawa coming story will go on for another 10 - 15 years :-)

If they follow the approach as mentioned in this video, people may not like it. Because people crave for original Jawa and looks like this brand is just creating a fake version of original Jawa. So people most likely will get disappointed. If there a true effort to re-create original Jawa, then people might like it. Otherwise it will be another motorcycle in the market. Lets see, time will tell..

Mojo Mahindra ka prestige product hai uska showroom band nahi hoga. Usi engine me nayi gaadiyan bhi aayega Mahindra ka. Jawa keliye Mahindra ne alag company banaya- Classic legends. Is company ne Jawa and BSA brand ka bikes banayenge.
