I wish auto mechanics pay more attention to details. You did a great job on detailing how it’s properly done. Thanks for your service.

Hi, Jimmy thanks, your video has taught me some good stuff, and helped me a lot. Would you by any chance do a DIY step-by-step video on, how to replace a leaking crankcase cover seal ... I have a 2004 toyota mark 2.

I do have a few videos replacing valve cover gaskets. I think one of them is on a 2003 year 2005 Toyota Corolla. Not sure if that's the same engine as your Toyota I'm not sure what a Mark 2 is.

Jimmy, should you be opening up the master cylinder before you push back the piston?

It depends. Most master cylinder caps now have a vent and that's why you don't see us doing it in videos. On older cars yes because it was a seal system which didn't have a vent so you would definitely need to take off the cap however for most newer vehicles it's not the case.

I wish I had never watched this. Of course now Im sure my mechanic won't take such care and that sucks. Im not set up to do it my self. I feel fucked.
