Award shows don't like anything associated with horror cause it's not commercial friendly. That's why Midsommar, Castle Rock, Hereditary , or IT wasn't nominated for anything.
This show didnt win any awards, but it won the hearts off all the people, including me. I literally do free promotion for this because I love it so much.
I just finished this - what an amazing show. I was just shocked at all of it...the acting, the chemistry, the special effects, the details of the story and characters, the cinematography...a lot of heart and soul went into this show.
The Haunting series have fully realized characters...what a breath of fresh air in the horror genre...no more one-dimensional bogey men with two-dimensional victims.
At the very end where they talk about how worried they were about the kids is so pure. The heart and moral compass of every actor in this project is straight as an edge and I love Mike Flanagan for being able to foster such a safe environment especially with how crazy toxic the film industry can get 🥺✌🏼
I was worried any that scene with the kids too.. they were so sweet and innocent and to have to say and think those horrible things ...the only part of the show I was really uncomfortable about.
