Technically you can connect any 4Ω or 2Ω speaker load to the expansion ports of the STG1 kit, but we don't recommend a subwoofer since the built-in amplifier doesn't have enough power to drive it adequately. You really need at least 100W to 200W to drive the subwoofer so you can actually hear it. The built-in amplifier is only rated at 50W MAX @ 2Ω.
@@baja5racer1 You can do that. You'll need to access the RCA jacks from the back of the PMX-1 by removing it and drilling a hole in the housing. This will allow you to connect the signal output from the PMX source unit and feed the subwoofer.
