Pusan National University is the first national university created by the love of citizens in May 1946. PNU was the only university in Korea established by the public and donated to the government. Soon after gained independence in 1945 after 36year of colonial rule, the idea of founding a university to rebuild the devastated country became the dream of Koreans and was accomplished quickly in a miraculous way.
