The scenes from the paddock are great. I love how each cars sounds totally different when at idle. The Audi is quieter than most road cars. The 'vette is still a beast and the LMP cars are great too.
That's too bad, was hoping it would be louder than last years M6. Probably sounds good on the track by itself :) Yes that 911 RSR is amazing to hear in person, was @The Glen and always had a big grin on my face whenever it went past. Thanks.
Wade Davis all of the cars need to be that loud, the Vettes and the 911s are the loudest cars on track. Maybe that’s why I love them so much 🤷🏼♀️ but them coming down the back straight at Atlanta was awesome to see
I’m surprised you can’t hear it in the videos, but when the Nissan DPi upshifts, it sounds like a gun is being fired: it cuts through all the other sounds of the engines. Too bad the Nissan’s engine is so quiet.
4:37 Anybody else notice how different the rear wing end plates on the Mazda's are so different from the rest of the DPi field? They barely make contact with the body of the car and connect to the diffuser where as the rest of the DPi's use basic and unmodified lmp2 body panels in that area.
5:43~5:46) the flat black BMW. Is that a clutch sound ? sounds just like my then disk did before I blew it up each time. And he kept stalling , idk if it damaged the drivetrain or the damage caused him to stall a few times . When mine sounded like that it was the rivets on the hub started opening up the holes they were in till the holes were Twice as wide as the rivet, u can imagine how well that worked .. IDK tho , I guess it could be a bird chirping ..
Ooh that doesn't sound good, it did sound like it could be the clutch but I don't know if there was an actual problem with the car, seems like they would have just shut it off and pushed it back if that was the case. Some of the cars make some pretty strange noises when they're driving them back to the garages, especially the turbo cars.
Great video. Dissappointed to see the Mercedes are running with the mufflers again after hearing how good it sounded without them in the pre-Roar test.
