When my car is turned on, the open back hatch button works but it will not open with the remote key when the car is turned off. Everything else on my remote key works just fine.
That's a new one for me is the fob battery still good? With the car energized I would see the hatch working because it's not depending on the vehicle battery. If the car says low for battery or the sort that may be the issue but I'll look into that one.
Hi Will.. I too am facing the same issue. My rogue’s liftgate opens and closes by fob and as well as the button on the dashboard only when the engine is running. Were you able to find a solution to this?
Mine will not open with key also will close manually but does not snap shut everytime I hit a bump it beeps that hatch is opened it is down but will not snap shut ?? Too latch
My liftgate works for 5 to 7 times and then stops working- I have to remove the battery cable and replace it and then it works for another 5 to 6 times - I have done this many many times - Any idea what is wrong ? Thx
Seems like your motor may be overheating the motor. It will have a thermal overload protection circuit. If you use your power lift gate ALOT you may be at the end of it's useful life.
Will this work on a Nissan pathfinder? The button inside and the key fob will not work to open it, I can open the latch at the lift gate button but it does not have the power to lift the latch and if I press the power close button it does close but not fully latched close
Sounds like you may be off line a bit but yes pull the fuse and do as the video states It seems you have a double issue going on but do the reset first The switch may be bad if there's no power going to it but do this first
@@kc2shw it didn’t work the vehicle is 4 months old, and I’m having problems already. Just don’t have time to go to the dealer to get it looked at. I’ll probably do it on my 1st service. Thanks though
Well answer a few questions first. Did you have anything in the way of the latch when last used? If not when you press the outside button do you hear the actuator unlatch? When you press the button inaide the vehicle does it move or make noise as if to go up?
I have a Nissan rogue 2017. My problem is once I open the lift gate using any method the door immediately starts closing hitting us in the head. The only way to get it to stay open is to push the lift gate open/close button on the gate itself and it will make it stop in place. Help?
Your lift gate is out of programming. The lift gate body control module limiter switch is out of value. If under warrenty, return to dealer for actuator reprogramming.
Try to remove positive side of batyery for a ecm reset. Ive seen them have to be reprogrammed due to stopping the hatch from fully actuating full open or full close. If thr switch on the outside hatch feels flimsy it may need to swapped. If the switch is good do a reset if thst doesn't work then have the vehicle scanned with a good scan tool and see if there is a code for the trunk
@@kc2shw how would you reprogram the module? I have the same issue. The hatch will open any time with all methods but none of the options to open will work.
@@kc2shw Hello there, having the same issue as described above, last owner told me issue started after replacing battery, so it seems disconnecting positive side as you describe will work fine right? Any other thing could be affected with that reset? what do you mean with "have to be reprogrammed"? Any need to visit a concessionary?
